Mike Perras' Blog
In a nutshell: I identify stocks that are trading with unusually higher than the average daily volume. (if 400,000 shares a day is the norm, I want to see a million plus shares traded by noon) I then watch to see which stocks open higher than the previous trading day's close.
By 10:30am it has likely already had a spike in price and has now pulled back. That's my entry point. Unusual higher volume first, a spike up in share price and then a pullback. The pullback assures that we never chase a stock & buy at the high, and the volume rule is in place to guarantee liquidity.
I do not advocate anyone trade the stocks I mention on my blog, but rather learn to find the same stocks I do. No one needs to follow stock pickers, but everyone needs a stock picking strategy!
