  • Rare Earth Production and Supply Issues: The First Steps Towards Global Resource Re-Distribution? [View instapost]
Futurist, you used to have an "educated" work force but compared to others, like China or India, not anymore. • Why do Newsletter Writer's Think Great Western Minerals Group is Chopped Liver? [View instapost]
Jack, I remember listening / reading to a conversation / interview where you and the CEO of GW stated that all of GW production from Steenkampskraal (2000 t/y) would be consumed by GW itself.
If so, none of the HREE would reach the market.

  • ETFs that Track Chinese Government Decision-Making [View article]
In regard to the much hyped RareEarths monopoly, China is only interested in adding value to its ore and creating green technologies jobs. The western world will not end up with useless products but it will have to purchase from China the manufactured goods.
China will, instead of ore, sell windmill magnets, car batteries and light bulbs, among many other green products.
I am not sure why we denigrate their strategy instead of praising it. The chinese leadership saw this coming yeas ago and prepared for it. Is it not what good business is all about? Is it not what every nation would like to do with its minerals?

  • The Charging Station Gods Must Be Crazy [View instapost]
The green debate has been a total failure in expectation management.
In my opinion, when the public wakes up, trading opportunities will be plentiful, by shorting.
