  • John Dvorak thinks CADD (Corporate Attention Deficit Disorder) may mark Microsoft (MSFT -8.3%) as a company finally on the decline, with too little focus on its core competency of software. "What's shocking is that the cash cows, specifically the Windows operating system and the Office suite, have managed to finance all these idiotic efforts for so many years."  [View news story]
Really stupid comments especially the laughable IT "professional" who obviously has no clue what an enterprise is.

    Quaker nailed it

John Lounsbury and the rest of the bears have all their facts and figures straight but it's not going to make them a penny.

Enjoy trying to be smarter than the market.

  • Contrarian Short Base Rises for Palm [View article]
Shorting is foolish here, the trend is clearly still up till it's not. The coming squeeze will keep fueling it.

  • Potash Is Not Growing Green Shoots [View article]
I like your stuff Mark but your shorting bias(your tagline - I don't believe in greenshoots) has self-admitably hurt your trading performance during this rally.

There's some good evidence of a pullback and general market rollover and POT is no exception but I've seen too many bears get their faces ripped off on good setups lately. The longer term trend is up until it's not.

I hope you are not wrong in this trade.

Yet another writer trying to be smarter than the market. Too bad writing isn't more lucrative than trading or you'd be on to something.

Fundamentals don't mean anything here. Trade what you see, not what is written on this site.

  • Why This Market Is Heading Down [View article]
The difference between smart money and dumb money is that dumb money has opinions. Lots of opinions from commentors on this site especially the top xxx ones.

  • The Great Bing Scam [View article]
    What a bias article.

This 'Why on earth are all MSFT "mistakes" always to the company benefit?' just tells it all.

Lots of opinion, no facts - just like the authors other articles.
Sorry GOOG stock has been going down lately. Eventually the one trick pony will get it's wings clipped. Don't worry, GOOG will be the far and ahead search leader for many years to come.

I switched to Bing a few weeks ago too, so far so good.

This rally makes no sense so I will just explain how it can't be and get mad.

Or you could stfu and just make money from it.
Your choice, It's pretty obvious what most of the readers here are doing.

  • Netbooks: The Device of Today and Tomorrow [View article]
No one can doubt how useful Netbooks are in certain situations but this article is really another in a long endorsement of how the cloud is everything and Windows and local applications are dead.

I am sorry I wasted time reading this nonsense. There's plenty more examples saying the exact same thing in the archives if I want to induldge myself.

  • Why Selling Puts Is Not Collecting Free Money [View article]
gene1031 is right, this is ignorance at it's best.

The author clearly does not understand options any more than the Canadian Capitalist. I responded per this on the candianbusiness.com site regarding Derek Foster's put strategy.

If you don't understand something, don't write about it.
