    Not a bad article, nice to see you tried to think out of the box on a few items except quoting the same crap everyone else is

    I'd be really careful of that long the loonie play. Being Canadian, the US/CAN exchange is always something we keep track of and historically the loonie is very high right now. I know, I know it's different this time - China, blah, blah but no emerging economies go up in a straight line and there will be problems. Canada will get pulled down by any commodity weakness

    Remember we only have 3 sectors here - finance, oil and minerals
    Unlike the US, outside of RIM, there are no other major companys here that do not operate in those 3 sectors.

    I am buying US $ anytime it's less than par - I may not see rates like that for 30 years again - everyone may hate the US right now but Canada has never come close to keeping up with the productivity or economic growth of the US.

    The risk reward on the long loonie trade right now is NOT favorable
