Buffett really meant buy 'quality' in times of fear which BAC unfortunately no longer is. That said there's a huge government backstop so it'll probably work out provided you call still resell ITM calls again in Feb.
I prefer to sell puts instead on quality companies since they are quite lucrative.
The whole point of the dogs of the dow is to take picking out of the equation. You buy all the warts and the idea is that you do well because turn arounds happen in spite of your emotions. If you are going to use your emotions and opinions, change the title.

The Real Expert - You didn't read what I wrote carefully enough. I said I sell covered calls and I 'repurchased' as in buying back the calls I sold to close out the contract.
I didn't see the point in waiting till Jan 09 for the calls I sold at far higher prices to go from .05 to 0 when I can reseller lower strike prices.
