  • 2016 Will Be Apple's Biggest Year [View article]
iPad sales tend to be stronger, YoY, during S cycle & I believe they will beat holiday qrt LY (not because of Pro simply upgrades).

  • Apple: Shift In Handset Distribution Model A Negative For iPhone Adoption [View article]
Earnings less than 2 weeks away & if AAPL does low level of their own revenue guidance it will be 16% YoY growth. Nike surged with 5% YoY growth.

Just because one doesn't agree with functionality of the current watch certainly doesn't mean so for everyone. The watch will be a hit & probably already is. For some disciplined folks, it's already changed life styles for the better.

  • Apple: There Won't Be An iPhone 6s Bump [View article]
Revenue guidance provided by AAPL was not weak unless one thinks a 16% YoY (using lowest guidance number) growth is weak. Definitely not "very weak". Stock may go down but your analysis is not convincing.

  • Is Apple Music The Next Maps? [View article]
    Thanks for article

Maps - had real issues, went with GOOG maps for 1 year, been using aapl maps last 2 years frequently with no issues

Music - a little clumsy at first, have < 100 songs no problems, several times had problem finding previously defined radio stations, last 2 weeks - love it, will be a subscriber

Watch - got june 1, no problems at all, excellently crafted software for activity monitoring, control Music, Apple TV, LED lights, texts, pay, etc. I'm a huge fan, improved activity level, will be huge imo

Good thoughts but AAPL continues to repurchase shares which muddies the water a bit on your main point. Thanks for sharing.

  • Apple: The Stark Contrast Between iPad And Surface Sales [View article]
Put at least an A8 chip in the mini & I'm in for myself & other members of my family. This will happen & be available in Oct this year, IMO.

Thanks for clarification as I did notice the huge uptick in sale of Surface just reported.

  • Apple Music: A $2 Billion Run-Rate Business By April 2016 [View article]

You've been berating AAPL for over a year now which was about 40% in gains ago. No wonder your angry.

BTW, I don't need to read about Apple Music because I have had absolutely no problems with it. Took about 4-5 minutes to learn. No problems. What specifically are your issues? None as it's not available in SK.

What is your issues with the watch? None, you don't have one.

"Sure I will inevitably be the same way...."

You don't have to be, I'm not cause I don't want to be. I've learned tons of stuff from my millenial sons & made money off their early adopting of tech, their taste for better food, etc. Millenials will dictate market trends more & more as time goes on. Enjoy later life when it happens & make some money when your kids are your age now and invest in their trends.

  • Why Apple Will Escape The $130 Resistance Level [View article]
    Great article Alex. Thanks.

I like your conservative estimate of 10m for watch sales in 2015. I expect, or hope, it will be more in the range of 15-17m although we may never know the exact number.

Also expect IPADs sales will be up, substantially, YoY during holiday season this year.

I will be checking out Apple music this weekend through the next 3 months to see if I'm interested in paying for it subsequently. Currently using iTunes Radio for free. Hope I like it enough to pay for it.

    Thanks again.

  • Apple: 3 Questions For The Current Quarter [View article]
Bill, always look forward to reading your stuff on AAPL. Thanks.

You have 6m estimate for watch for this quarter. I've heard of around 1.9m sold online before arrival at stores just recently. Can you expand on how you came to your 6m estimate?

Imo, ipad sales will be weak this quarter & next but think it will be another ipad holiday this year as it was in 2013. Would love to get a mini with newest chip.

  • Apple's iPad Problem And How To Solve It [View article]
Collapsed from holiday quarter 2013 which was what Cook predicted "an iPad Christmas" & he was right, they blew the doors off.

I fully expect holiday quarter 2015 will be another iPad Christmas. Smart marketing, imo. Develop great upgrades & promote ipads during "s" cycle years. I plan to purchase several this holiday season.

  • Apple Watch Is Making Luxury Watchmakers Uncomfortable [View article]
Billy... I think your son is right. Got my watch (Sport -$ 400 w/taxes) yesterday @4pm. By 9pm I was hooked. My primary reason for purchase was for fitness (walking only, a boomer) tracking.

Grilled last night & went to Sprouts, used map feature (even though I knew how to get there) & worked perfectly via turn by turn, used Apple Pay (works better than pay on phone). Used watch timer to alert when time to flip meat, used watch to control Apple TV watching NFLX program (can start/stop, fast forward/rewind, go to menu functions) w/o using remote control (really convenient), used watch to control LED lighting (HUE app) inside & outside.

The watch design (even though the cheapest one) is remarkable. Not a prior watch wearer but band is some type of rubber that feels like silk & fits perfectly (adjustable). You really don't realize your wearing a watch which was the reason I never wore watches before.

Software integration with the phone & other 3rd party apps is seamless.

Apple support knew I was getting watch (yesterday) & sent me an email prior to delivery indicating I could schedule a 1 on 1 discussion with a support specialist. I scheduled a meeting via a link in the email & the support specialist picture came up & was scheduled for 6pm (couple hours after I got watch). Started playing with watch & was so easy to do functions that I canceled 1 on 1 an hour before it was scheduled. Crazy great support built around getting you going on the device.

Hats off to Apple. Stunningly wow'd me.
