Spoke to investor relations in Athens. Seems they weren't allowed to post anything in English before posting with NYSE. In a few hours we should see a more detailed explanation as to how the process of stock split and share issuance will work.

Rates won't be rising any time soon. But when they do it will be gradual increase and in flows into equities should compensate for any additional interest expenses the mlp's incur.

  • Shares Of Himax Hit By Flawed Bear Case [View article]
I'm holding it for exactly this reason. As an eventual strategic acquisition by a google, samsung etc.. Remember, google loves to buy patents and HIMAX holds something like 1500 or so in this realm. In addition to the revenue growth there are other reasons to like this one.

If you like MMLP check out CLMT. Another high yield, low PE, MLP with solid management. To MMLP's credit though..i haven't seen such consistent insider buying at any company in the industry. These two companies are my 2nd and 3rd largest positions since November.

  • Is The Market Stalling, Reversing Or Resting? [View article]
Maybe i am getting something wrong here.. But seems to me that high yield money is and will just flow to equities.. Rather than assuming that high yield outflow is so much an indicator of general risk.. Seems that sentiment for gains in equities is just too appealing and folks don't want to miss the boat. No?

  • The Obama administration's decision on the Keystone oil pipeline (TRP) will not be made until at least June, a U.S. official tells Reuters, which would delay the project for months and frustrate backers of Canada's oil sands. "It's not weeks until the final decision," according to the source. "It's months." [View news story]
Well, the building of solar panels wasn't a disaster for Obama's backers who mostly walked away with hundreds of millions. The longer this project is delayed the more another of Obama's backers (Warren Buffet) keeps his oil/gas railroad shipping empire in heavy profits with little competition from the pipelines.
