The EU/Rambus settlement proposes Rambus get paid by all DRAM manufacturers for its patented intellectual property underlying the various JEDEC standards: DDR, DDR1, DDR2, DDR3...


Rambus invented the foundational elements of modern memory and it continues to invent and patent the future of memory technology to this day with over 500 scientist/engineers.

(Patent trolls invent nothing and employ only lawyers.)

I've been reading NukeJohn for 4 years on the investorvillage.com rmbs board. He's one of the top posters there.

Although he can't do prophecy (Due diligence still required.), he's got a knack for clear, deep, and broad analysis, strong common sense, and integrity.

One of the best you can read and I believe Rambus is about to make me a fortune.

(I'm very long due, in part, to his views.)

Having followed this saga on the Rambus investorvillage.com forum for over 3 years, I salute your ability to distinguish the forests from the trees. The trees are inumerable, but your recent series of posts allows the big picture to emerge clearly.

Not an easy thing to do, given the greater than 10 year history and $2B spent on litigation, propaganda, and market manipulation by the nefarious MMs.

In 2009, we are approaching a just end (finally) of the litigation wars where the MMs will fail at their inglorious attempt to kill Rambus. It is time for them to eat their just deserts and where Rambus engineers will be rightfully celebrated for their huge historic achievement in advancing the art of modern high speed, low power memory and system interconnects.

Have any lawyer friends in the patent field? I suggest you speak to them. The chicanery, lies, collusion, and prison terms (over 15) revealed and soon-to-be-revealed in the 'Kill Rambus' saga will make patent law history.

In scope, this little Rmabus story will make Madoff's grand ponzi act look like child's play.
