  • Update: Nokia - Mixed Quarter But No Reason To Worry [View article]
Management gave very cautious outlook on IP licensing although did not agree that it will be more challenging to collect license fees. They have been talking same story a couple of conference calls in a row and no results yet. Wonder how long it will take and what will be the outcome? I am losing my patience on this and looking at SP I am not alone.

Dividend was less than what many expected, wonder if they are saving cash for an acquisition? if so hope they will not overpay and that they will stay away from ALU

  • The Eurozone Is Doomed: Why ECB Bond Purchases And The Greek Election Don't Matter [View article]
Schengen agreement is about passport free travel within Europe, with it Norway is not tied to EU. You are not European , I recognize.

Norway is part of EEA :
the European Economic Area (EEA) provides for the free movement of goods, persons, services and capital through three of four member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway), and member states of the European Union (EU)

  • Crude Oil: A Bounce Is On The Horizon [View article]
You wrote : Russian cash flow is in sorry shape given lower crude prices - just look at the level of the ruble.

Ruble has been losing value at the same pace as crude. This means that from cash flow point of view Russian oil revenues are flat on ruble terms. Russians will face huge inflation on imported goods though.

  • The Real Reason Saudis Didn't Cut Oil Production [View article]
US does not necessarily represent the future of renewable energy as environment issues are nowhere so strict as in Europe. Today a German energy giant decided to split itself into 2 companies: renewable part and conventional part. They will sell conventional part , so at least some people are betting their future on alternative energy sources.

I am convinced there is more behind oil price crash: some producers are starting to get nervous fopr medium term prospects for other energy sources if oil stays too expensive.

  • The Real Reason Saudis Didn't Cut Oil Production [View article]
Very valid arguments here.I have been thinking of the same and happy to read good analysis supporting my gut feeling. I think this is a strategy to keep oil competitive and the best way is through price adjustment.

I think the fall in oil price is about to be completed now. Lots of comments about oil in 30's 40's 50's creating huge buying opportunity into commodity itself and all participants through stock markets. I assume we will not go much lower than this as there is ever more buyers on lower levels waiting. So start buying now if you are bullish on oil.

I expect oil price to stay below recent levels from summer for extended period of time unless we experience something unexpected like geopolitical situation which would increase tension and drive oil price sharply up

  • Massive Quantitative Easing Likely In The Eurozone [View article]
Eventually it will be the case to save Euro and European Union or let it crash. I suppose Germans will play along, at least for a while. Until then let's stay long stocks

@sid I agree with undervaluation, however it might take time before it corrects to levels more reflecting real value

Watch out for those monkeys :)

When something sounds too good to be true it usually isn't.....
Just trying to be cautious here. There are no alternatives to equities at current market situation but overvalued stocks can drop like stone. Nokia is not one of them , at least according to current information

My argument is : when everyone think there is only one way it sometimes does the opposite. Just wondering if you guys are convincing each other to stay long instead of following what the market does.

Don't get me wrong I think Nokia has a lot of potential, just trying not be carried away by overly optimistic expectations

Very bullish article but what are threats & risks to this bullish scenario?
Would love to agree to all this but more concerned what could go wrong along the way.

If market tanks it will take this stock along

  • 3 Reasons Nokia Investors Need To Think About Their Investment [View article]
I see NSN guidance conservative: Nokia has beaten their own guidance a couple of Qs in a row. Margin is not going to sink to 5 % and revenue is starting to grow again. Wish this author would have done homework before writing this
