  • Nokia Is Getting Better But There's A Large Risk Looming [View article]
not necessarily as Nokia has been cutting costs due to lower symbian sales. Now cost base is much lower -> with lower sales reaching profitability possible

I agree. MSFT is not a hardware but software company. Only way to get to that part of the market is through a takeover or joint venture.

  • Why I'm Worried About Nokia's Long-Term Prospects [View article]
I don't quite agree with this statement. MSFT is not interested in NSN and might not be interested in Mobile Phones part either.

It is smartphones, patents & HERE that MSFT is after if anything at all

    This excellent discussion.
I have learned more about supply chain management in this thread than in any of the business schools I attended.

    Thank you for your article.

I just want to point out that Nokia actually produces phones for two different operating systems, the other one is WP8 and the other one is S40 for feature phones and Ashas. It is not only about smartphones ....

  • Nokia's (NOK -2.6%) is likely to issue a Q2 warning in the next few weeks, writes RBC in a note that's pressuring shares. In addition to tough smartphone competition, the firm is worried about declining feature phone sales. Nokia's feature phone unit shipments fell 21% Y/Y in Q1 thanks to Android's low-end momentum, and its feature phone ASP fell 10% Q/Q and 15% Y/Y to just €28 ($36). [View news story]
This is opportunity to add some cheap Nokia stock!

  • The Anniversary Of My Nokia-Ford Comparison [View article]
"there is much more upside potential in front of this company than there is downside potential" is a strong buy signal

I like statements like this for the following reasons in addition to points mentioned in your article:

    1) If smartphone sales take off, with 520, 620, 720, 820, & 920, 925 , 928 it should
    2) NSN performing well
    3) Asha 501 should turnaround declining feature phone sales
    4) Royalty revenues should increase with HTC and more Anroid OS producers will follow
    5) HERE has potential, when will it deliver?

  • This Is How Much Nokia Made From Patents Last Year [View article]
If your valuation was right about their patent portfolio, why is the market ignoring it? NOK is undervalued has been the statement for quite a while now. What would trigger correction if that is the case? Company is expected to turn profitable in coming quarters, so this should be priced in at the near future when not already in stock price. Either this is too good a bargain to be true or there is something else
keeping the stock down. The question is what ?

  • Nokia Manufacturing Improving? [View article]
Good article. I was always wondering how Nokia would solve the complicated logistics with all colour variants of 920. Less is sometimes more efficient.
