  • Why China Cannot Be Apple's No.1 Market [View article]
Price erosion will accelerate from now on. it would be unrealistic to think that customers are willing to pay top price. Iphone 5 does not offer anything what competitors offer with less money. If Apple want to continue to succeed, it will need to reinvent Iphone otherwise stock will tank deeper.

China Mobile customer base is +700m making it to largest operator globally. It would be a great mistake to assume Apple don't want to sell its products through CM.

China Mobile has a contract with Nokia. Apparently Nokia Lumia phones are selling well in China.

Apple needs to develop technology to be able to get a contract with China Mobile. Up to know Apple has not been able to offer products that would work in CM networks.

Apple also would need to introduce products in lower price points, I don't see this happening anytime soon. same applies to many other emerging markets. if you want to bet on those markets, Nokia stock is a much better choice.

  • Will Chinese Consumers Save Apple? [View article]
That is the reason, Apple has not been able to introduce compatible solution. This is one of the reasons why China Mobile chose Nokia instead and if I am not mistaken L920 sells like hot cakes in China

  • Will Chinese Consumers Save Apple? [View article]
Thank you for interesting views. China is the key market where success is essential. Apple is now trailing Nokia, which was able to capture contract with China Mobile. L920T already selling and L520T & L720T to follow.

  • The Struggle Of Former Leaders: Is Apple One Of Them Now? [View article]
    Excellent analysis.
I buy these thoughts and expect Apple to dive.
Lack of innovation and competitors which bring better phones to the market will hammer down Apple stock.
    Stay away or sell now.
    you won't regret

  • Apple Tastes Great In Asia Too [View article]
@ Fat Banker In ideal world Apple tries to be that but recent history proves that they are slipping behind : IP5 was clearly disappointment with lack of innovation and highest standards. If they are not able to innovate with next launch they will fall more and more behind. Arrogance remains me of Nokia in the days of glory and we all know what happened afterwards. Nokia is now reinventing itself, let's see how long it will take Tim Cook & co to realize Apple needs to do the same to be successful in the long run.

  • Apple Tastes Great In Asia Too [View article]
Current Iphone models are too expensive in markets like India and China to attract big volumes. Nokia is introducing lower price point Lumia 620 with very promising start. There is more to come with additional models in this price segment. Apple should be more innovative and capable to introduce new models to these markets,
China Mobile . will be out of reach as long as technical issues remain unsolved. Market potential is huge, but will be difficult for Apple to profit unless they start to be more innovative. Strong position in developed markets will be also difficult to maintain as both Samsung and Nokia are more flexible. Current Apple share price reflects markets opinion on this.

  • Epic Pair Trade: Go Long Apple And Short RIM [View article]
I agree on shorting RIMM but would go long in NOK instead of AAPL.
Apple is not innovating and IP5 is not selling as expected because it
is behind competition. Nokia Lumia 920 is the big hit this Q, just wait and see the sales figures from China.
