I have strong doubts about their ability to recover. They weren't making it before with the same merchandise so why would things just magically pick up with a different CEO at the helm? They need to appeal to the entire family as before, not just the trendy hipsters as they are doing now.

I wouldn't count on that! The final ruling is yet to come and the judge may award Macys damages and rule against JCP yet. They are just allowed to sell the merchandise for now without her name on it. That means the cost of rebranding in order to move any of it. It would be an added expense and they might not even bother until the final judgement.

They marked up all of those so called Fair & Square everyday low prices about $5 per pair of pants & shirts in the past week or so to get ready for this 'sale' . Johnson thinks the customer is so uneducated they won't notice.
JCP brands are not what they used to be, there is no longer any quality in their products. They have now become known for cheap materials and poor construction.
