  • Gilead: One Thing The Market Is Forgetting  [View article]
Don't forget that GILD has suffered the same carnage on its value too. One could argue that a well-timed acquisition six months ago, albeit at a higher price then they would pay today, might have had the stock at $130/share and that it might now be trading at $100/share after the market setback since 1/1/16. That would put all GILD shareholders in a better place today than where we find ourselves.

No the best news I've heard today...however, JNJ has always harvested a robust pipeline so I will assume (dangerous, I know) that one or two winners will advance to market to make up any shortfall in Remicade sales. Long JNJ because it always pays to stick with a proven winner

If the story/rumor is not true, and shareholders can prove that BKS suffered a 9% loss due to it...then BKS shareholders surely have a grievance. Not sure it is one that they can recover on. Seems to me that Ben Carson has a better unrecoverable claim against Cruz.

  • Is It Time To Buy Or Sell Shares Of Gilead Sciences  [View article]
Alex...let's do a private sale. I'll sell you all of my shares at a discount to your projected price. You can have mine for $135/share. Talk is cheap

  • What To Expect From Gilead Sciences' Earnings Report  [View article]
Same old song....good fundamentals, strong FCF, yoy and qoq results have all been fantastic. Yet, GILD trades lower and lower. The waters are still not safe until GILD expands its pipeline and does an accretive acquisition.

  • Gilead dragged down by AbbVie's V-Pak miss  [View news story]
If you are a value investor today is a welcome day to add to your GILD position. The company's fundamentals are as strong today as they were last week, last month and last year. The political noise is a bit louder but we all know that their bark is always much worse then their bite. Stay the course and take advantage off these dips to add to your position if you believe in the merits of the business and the management.

The tech bubble was all about billion dollar IPOs for companies (if you can call them that) that had concepts and little to no product. With billions of users and tens of billions of dollars of advertising revenue, I cannot see putting FB in that class.

  • Bank Of America Is Trading Like Citigroup  [View article]
I've been in and out of BAC three times in the last 3 years and each time I have lost money. This holding is dead money and the bank's current leadership appears to be clueless. Investments in WFC, and now even JPM, seem to hold greater opportunity. My experience is not how high can BAC rise, but how low can it go.

JNJ, at the heart of my portfolio is this dividend beauty. Steady always wins the race, especially when the race is a marathon. Looking for another 3-5% dividend hike in 2016

You just do not get it, do you. GILD is well managed and well capitalized. However, it is still perceived as a one trick pony and the feeling is that this company will be forced to reduce drug prices at some point soon. Sadly, unless management does something soon (a new "miracle" drug, an accretive acquisition, a dividend increase or an enhanced stock buyback), the company will never achieve what you and analysts have expected.

  • A Look At Berkshire Hathaway, With Its 3% Yield  [View article]
If the truth be told, I don't want ANY of the large holdings in BRK.B. I certainly want no part of AXP, K, IBM or WMT, at least not now!! I wish I owned them at BRK's cost - but that is not going to happen. BRK.B is "stuck" with these declining equities because they have made too much of a gain to sell now. So, what they do now is sell them to new shareholders at the current market cost as part of the privilege to own a share of BRK. I was a disciple at one time, but have put Mr. Buffet and BRK in my rearview mirror. Good luck to all

  • Grow Old And Become Wealthy With Disney  [View article]
Disney appears to be fairly priced at <$100 given the concerns relating to cord-cutting at ESPN and growth at theme parks due to fears such as the incident in Paris and other locations. It is a HOLD for me until those two concerns are proven false.
