  • Apple's Story: The Beginning Has Arrived [View article]
Apple doesn't give Mr. Market two thoughts. It's got bigger fish to fry. All those billions may be needed to deal with whole nation states, where some companies, cough Samsung, are backed by the government. I'm thinking China is one as well. And what will it cost to gain foothold in India?

  • Samsung's New Strategy Is A Worry For Apple [View article]
<Samsung is gained share in the smartphone market at the cost of Apple but without hurting Apple.>

Does the writer actually read what he writes? How can Samsung sales cost Apple and not hurt it? Malarky. Samsung is taking all of its sales out of Moto and all the other thousand Android device makers, Blackberry, and Nokia. It doesn't hurt Apple cus' it was never theirs to begin with.

If your wishes were fishes, you would be tuna king. It's been a long time since Apple was at 10 percent mobile market share and it will not fall to that in the foreseeable future, except in your lone, unaccompanied opinion; cite someone to support it, please.

The iPad is dominant in its market sector and the whole tablet market in mindshare and also profitshare. Generic Android tablets own marketshare, cheapwareshare; they don't compete with iPads cus' they don't earn anything; they are loss leaders.

Same with phones. Maybe half of Android phones are used as dumb phones, make no profit, use no Google services. So they win in the dumbware freeware share only, if there is such a thing. And if there is, who would want it?

  • Google Vs. Apple: Death By A Thousand Paper Cuts [View article]
The iCloud may be a problem for developers, but not for users. I am continuously fascinated with my stuff showing up immediately and automatically, magically, on all my devices after inputting on one ... events, bookmarks, reading list, contacts, reminders. And because my wife uses the same account, she is immediately informed as well on her iPhone and iPad. Awesome!

  • Why A Budget iPhone Is A Bad Idea [View article]
There is no Apple margin squeeze; its margins are still extremely high relative to other hardware makers. It's Wall Street expectations that are getting squeezed. Which is good.
