  • Rite Aid (RAD) reports a 2.2% decline in same-store sales for December with the holiday calendar shift accounting for 1.1 percentage points of the drop. The prescription count at comparable stores rose 4.4% Y/Y during the month with the flu season getting off to a late start. [View news story]
The next quarter should be another good one, and it true December would be a slow month for Rite Aid , most people dont shop for Christmas gifts and food at a convience store or a pharmacy.

With Valentines coming up they will probably sell all of their Valentines candy and cards.

Nokia has a chance to make a small profit, this time around, the stock price could rise to ten dollars within the next year, if everything goes in their favor.

  • The Verge joins Digitimes in reporting a Nokia (NOK) Windows RT tablet is in the works. The gadget site, which seems to have a source or two at Microsoft (MSFT), reports the tablet will have a 10.1" display (similar to Surface), mobile connectivity (AT&T will sell it), and interestingly, a battery-equipped keyboard cover that "envelops it like a book." Nokia is said to plan a small initial run, and to be thinking of making a Windows 8 Pro device later. [View news story]
Nokia should wait for the season to end and see how the microsoft tablet is selling, before it commits any more r&d and money to this project, sounds like the microsoft tablet isnt even wanted.
