I've always enjoyed your posts. I think you are very knowledgable about the SIRI situation because you do your homework. However, I think that Siri-Doom has made some very good points and even though it sounds almost hard to believe, you can't just dismiss it as dilusional, without evidence to the contrary. And, I haven't seen any. It is all just conjecture. I would love to see the accusations disproved.....but, I don't see it anywhere. If you can, let's see it!]]>

Sirius XM Annual Meeting: What's on the Agenda? http://seekingalpha.com/article/111389-sirius-xm-annual-meeting-what-s-on-the-agenda?source=feed#comment-333237 333237
Excellent article! I wasn't aware of the need to pass those key measures by 50.1% of the vote, with shares not voted as a no vote. To me, that is key. Many shareholders do not vote. And, that is why the existing Board is almost always re-elected, shareholders not voting are a vote for the Board. My only negative comment on this information......why wasn't this mentioned previously. I am sure many who read this blog were not aware of those rules.]]>

'Save Sirius' May Be Going Too Far http://seekingalpha.com/article/110467-save-sirius-may-be-going-too-far?source=feed#comment-330240 330240
I agree with your comment: "Wanting to stop a reverse split and the addition of new shares to the authorized count is one thing. Unwinding the merger, and sending people to jail is quite another." That is where I couldn't agree with the M.H. lawsuit and opted to drop out. I didn't like a lot of the activities of the company prior to the merger (like the last minute financing that has torpoedoed the stock). And I am opposed to the reverse split and issuance of new stock, but I certainly don't think that it would be wise to unwind the company at this point. We can't go back and redo that decision without irreparable harm to the company.

As to Mel's actions in all of this, I don't trust him anymore. He says he is not going to use the RS/issuance of new stock unless he has to. I would like to believe that, but I don't. He burned us (shareholders) on the last minute financing. He had to know what the debt load of XM was. He had plenty of time to make other arrangements (thanks to the FCC). As a result, he has lost his credibility with me and I am sure with many in the investment community.]]>

Adjust their targets downward??? Where......to zero? All those numbers had to have been factored by now. Come on.....this action going on now has absolutely nothing to do with quarterly financials. My god, Circuit City has filed for BK and it is selling above SIRI! Look where GM is! Would you invest in that company right now? No, no, the share price has nothing to do with fundamentals any more.]]>

Your article is so right on, it is scary! I have been reading your blogs for several months now, and some of the critical replies, but I must tell you that this one is the best thing you have ever done. I am a marketing type in the manufacturing world, and your comments about automobile companies pricing themselves out of business is exactly right on. Here is the fallacy: every time a manufacturer starts losing money (or making less profit) they raise prices. Can you guess what usually happens? Sure, less people buy the product. The result is less revenue and, again, even lower profit. So, they raise prices again, and maybe even downsize, laying off some key people. The quality of the product and efficiency goes down (due to overwork of those still drawing a paycheck). Does this cycle sound familiar? Why doesn't it ever occur to do what you suggested? Lower the price and sell more units! This will drive increased revenue and profits. In economics, it is called the elastic demand curve. It won't work in all situations, but it is rarely ever considered. I believe it could work in the automobile industry. ]]>
