Sittingcrow - Your statement is rather ignorant to what KO is. You state they should get a line of health food drinks. They currently sell Dasani, Vitamin Water, MinuteMaid juices, Simply Orange, PowerAde, PowerAde Zero, and SmartWater. For non-soda alternatives they offer Nestea (licensed) and Fuze tea. Thy also sell Ciel which is a bottled water that is sold in Mexico and a couple of other foreign countries.

So I guess they are appealing to healthy lifestyles.

  • BlackBerry (BBRY -3.8%) slumps following the WSJ's report about additional layoffs, and another bearish note from Pac Crest's James Faucette (previous). Faucette says checks indicate first-week U.K. sales of the mid-range Q5 may have only amounted to 10K-15K, well below the ~50K estimated for the Z10. U.K. carriers Orange and T-Mobile began taking Q5 pre-orders four weeks ago. [View news story]
@ying "Faucette has claimed BB10 was DOA in Nov, and also claimed returns of Z10s were higher than sales earlier this year (how is that possible)?"

Wasn't that Detwiler that claimed the returns were higher than sales?

Right on Michael. I think the way they handled the ER on Friday was worse than a worse case scenario could have played out. You knew us bulls were in trouble when TH started rambling on about Q5 colors.

  • Whisper Number Impact: Earnings Preview For BlackBerry [View article]
I guess it's a little easier for me as well. I am out only $3500. I know there were some who had 10s of thousands in this thing. None the less it's wise advice to never count the chickens before they have hatched. Lesson learned and I am better for it.

  • BlackBerry's Stock Jitters Can Gain Some Direction With Earnings [View article]
I hope I am wrong but I doubt the squeeze will occur this ER. I think September's release will trigger it as there will be too much pride in the shorts to give up now when there will probably be a couple ways for them to spin the great ER. I am long, but just trying to temper my excitement. A lot of people stand to lose a lot of money. I know I wouldn't go down without a fight with the amount of money sitting out there.

  • BlackBerry (BBRY) slips 3% premarket after a downgrade to Sell at Bernstein, which sees earnings peaking in FQ1 and "significant risk" of a miss in H2. OTR Global says U.K. Q10 sales fell off a cliff and have been - "not a typo" - just 30K-50K units since launch, reports Notable Calls. [View news story]
Maybe these people actually believe their own lies. Delusion can do that to a person :)

I downloaded the app onto my phone. I don't use Facebook either. The game was fun up until that point.

  • More on BlackBerry: Digitimes reports supplier order visibility has risen to 2-3 quarters from a prior 1 quarter, thanks to BlackBerry's (BBRY -1%) plans to release 3-4 models in 2H. Two of the phones - the Q5 and A10 - have already received plenty of ink , but details about additional devices are unknown. Thorsten Heins has said BB7 phones aimed at emerging markets will arrive, and that his idea lineup involves 6 phones. Digitimes adds Z10 and Q10 shipments have remained in the 1M/month range. $1.00/share is pretty optimistic, but that sure would be nice to see. My gut tells me north of $0.50 but not quite as high as $1.00.
