Syntax-Brillian: The Bears' Latest Folly?

Indeed Willy. I do not expect anything good out tomorrow from Syntax. Retail business has been pretty marginal lately and the bears have a strong case here nor do i expect them to guide higher for the remaining of the year as the consumer spending will start to weaken plus we're moving into a historically unimpressive season for the retailers.

People don't buy TVs from Home Depot. The last thing I want is "Bob the Builder" try to sell me a TV. I'll gladly go to Home Depot to buy a Toilet seat but not a TV. In fact that would the last place I'd go to buy a TV. People don't buy TVs at Radio Shack, they buy trinkets and small electronic components. People do not buy TVs from Target nor CompUSA as a rule of thumb. I left Circuit City last and because these guys couldn't sell water in the middle of Sahara. CC stinks.

If I want a TV I'll go to Fry's Electronics, certainly Best Buy and maybe CC if the get their act together. If I'm gonna pluck down a couple of grand for a TV then I want to talk to someone who's knowledgable and not some guy off the street who happens to sell TVs at Home Depot after he's done laying down tile.

The bears have a good case here.
