I have lived in CA, UT, AZ, FL, GA, Japan, Mexico and Thailand. Currently reside in AZ, I am a real estate broker although I loath fee based fiduciary models. My main income comes from flipping properties that are in distress situations. I own a few real estate related business. I dabble in hard money loans. I manage our extended families self directed 401K's, IRA's, HSA's. As well as 529 plan for my toddler.

My interest is in not loosing money and beyond that to compounding wealth. That is the main reason I visit this site. This goal is easier for me to live up to in business than in the market. I hope to improve my skills as a stock picker as time goes on. I am much more comfortable making decisions based on ...More business fundamentals than with technical analysis.

I prefer to be long in a few positions that I can constantly monitor. I have 5 holdings that make up 80% of my portfolio.

My current project is to set up and manage a captive insurance business because of the advantaged position insurance has in American business.

I have a BA in Poly Sci from Cal State Northridge. While there I used all of my excess student loan and opened a Scottrade account and within a year had lost nearly 90% of my borrowed funds. Since then I have focused much more on business fundamentals and trying to not loose money.
