Offhand I only have the debt/eq and l.t. debt/eq from
I'll try and locate this information when I have time. Perhaps the webcasts or investor relations pages contain said info. Given the nature of the business, I'm guessing FCF tends to fluctuate a bit from q/q.

  • China Yuchai: Avoid Until More Clarity  [View article]
obviously the strength of the yuan and the Chinese economy are real concerns. however, I cannot sell. shares trade at 1.1x cash. if I'm understanding the financials correctly, I'm paying about $1/sh for the business. another way to look at it is book value - .35. I can buy the business for 35 cents on the dollar? oh, and a 10% yield. I understand Shah has been pushing for buybacks, but the owners (45% insiders) refuse to play that game. perhaps that is why the stock remains so low. time will tell

  • Hess CEO sees $60 oil by the end of 2016  [View news story]
I'll take the avg of Hess' CEO and goldslacks average and say $40 by end of 2016. truth is no one really knows and Goldman's call is a classic contrary indication. long xom ceo

that's right and the 30yr trades at 3%. WMT p/e ratio is at it's 10yr avg. trough It's looks like a no-brainer below $60. And when the S&P tanked bank in '08, WMT traded at a premium to the market. Perhaps the perfect defensive stock. I like to think the majority of the bad news is baked into the cake at this point.

  • GoPro Reaches A Critical Junction  [View article]
GPRO is starting to look like a crowded trade. Sentiment could not be any worse than it already is. Further disaster scenario may not play out as hoped for by short sellers. This might be a great spot to initiate a position as it is one of the most hated/shorted stocks on the street and the holiday season is just around the corner. If holiday sales boost earnings then there's a real possibility that the shorts get roasted over an open fire. That would make for a very Merry Christmas indeed!

  • Piper downgrades GoPro to Neutral; shares slip  [View news story]
All the analysts loved it back in July when shares were trading in the mid $50's. Now that it's 50% lower they're all jumping ship. After seeing the huge presence of GPRO at the Kona Ironman over the last week, it would appear that GPRO is going to be around for awhile. It's the power of the brand. With 25% of the shares already sold short and sentiment at its most negative since the IPO, I think we have a fairly crowded trade here. I'm looking to pick up more shares at $25 or lower.
    Long GPRO.

  • 5 Reasons To Buy LendingClub  [View article]
I have a 6.85% annualized return after having invested roughly $10k in their platform to credit card consolidators (A-C credit notes) $25/note. I reinvest the proceeds of p&i payments into new notes. I am long 100 shares of LC with the intention of averaging in as time goes by to see how the market reacts to the new issue. I've still to figure out what the main risks to this company are other than increased default rates. Any thoughts?

Latest I read was that int'l sales / market share was expanding, while N. American sales / market share was contracting.
Will likely hurt more with a strong dollar.

    Good contrarion play imo.
