  • Uni-Pixel: Possibly The Best Investment For 2013 [View article]
Good article Chris. The float is pretty small. Are you worried about there need to raise additional capital next year based on this growth? Would this come in the form of issuing additional shares?

  • Apple: Value Play Or Value Trap? [View article]
Apple just may buy RIMM. With RIMM's enterprise solutions it would be a great growth acquisition for Apple. Either way, Apple's cash position gives it huge growth opportunities through acquisitions alone.

Cisco is starting to use some of that cash! Good things ahead...

And why have we not heard anything from the VRNG attorneys if this was the case? I want you to be right, but...

I hope you are right, but could it be the other way? Maybe AOL, IAC, etc. should have been calculated at the 3.5%?

  • Vringo: Lessons From The Past For Investors [View article]
Good comments Steve! It seems like we will see two price movements. 1. If VRNG wins we will get an initial spike. 2. A later move as their patent portfolio has been deemed credible.

What do you think about the future value/royalties based on a win?

Agree. He also emphasizes doing your own research. I like watching him because of the impact his show has on moving a stock...artificially lower or higher. Makes for some good trading opportunities.

  • Judge Jackson's Ruling Is The Catalyst [View article]
    Good article!

I am curious...if Vringo gets a win, regardless of the damage amount, how does this impact their future value based on their book of patents? Seems like it would still be a good LONG position at this price.

    Dan,

Thanks for the post. Can you explain the Proffer that was filed today? Not sure what affect, if any, it has.

Can anyone explain the Proffer (?) that was filed today? Looks like it excludes Laches as a defense for damage estimates as it relates to the remaining defendants...

  • What The Laches Ruling Means For Vringo And Google [View article]
So as I read the Proffer Laches cannot be used to determine damages for all other defendants...correct? What if any impact does this have?

    Interesting read. Thanks for posting.

Good point. Future royalties is interesting as things transition to mobile. Does this patent and royalty stream play into Google's focus on monetizing mobile? If so, I would think future royalties could be significant.

Great dialog on this either way!
