SunEdison is largely credited with making solar mainstream with government regulators and large real estate owners worldwide. SunEdison had a successful exit with MEMC in 2009. Prior to founding SunEdison, Shah managed mergers & acquisitions, corporate strategy, and sales efforts for BP Solar’s national commercial accounts.
Shah is also an expert on energy project finance, changing energy policy, working with entrenched stakeholders, and convincing individuals to embrace energy technology. He works closely with leading world influencers and guides policy makers around the globe on key issues surrounding renewable energy, global warming and sustainability.
Shah holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
