I am 35 years old and a very successful private investor and Venture capitalist based in London. I have, in the last 5 years, invested in 24 start up tech companies and generated significant ROI. In terms of investing, I believe in careful market and business analysis before I invest and to date, I have never lost money on any investment I have made. I do not call myself an expert, I just know what works for me. I am also into many other things from breeding horses ( an peacocks ) through to purchasing businesses and turning them around and selling them on again. I am also ( Oct 2012 ) in the process of purchasing a 15th century castle and turning it into a luxury hotel/retreat with two other partners. My business interests are very diverse and in my non-business life I also breed Andalusian Horses, and a part owner of a very successful wine bar with one of my sisters and am helping my younger sister develop a strong property portfolio.
I am a programmer, a researcher and a computer scientist on artificial intelligence. My past lives include working on two startups, two universities and one industrial research institution. I have been trading since 2004.
Researching stocks is my hobby as well as an important source of income. My interest includes techs, big caps, biotechs as well as dividend stocks.
I invest long term in stocks of companies that have strong competitive advantage.
My passion is understanding how banking and finance work and I keep a blog on those topics. Please visit.
