  • Apple's iPhone 6 First Weekend Sales Record: What It Means For Investors [View article]
@NicZ. What you are saying is 100% untrue. here is the availabilities in UK:
    - IP6 16 = 7-10 days shipping
    - IP6 64 & 128 = 3/4 weeks
    - IP6+ 16/64 & 128 = 3/4 weeks
    This is so easily verifiable.

  • Apple: Worth More Than $130 Per Share [View article]
@ TS nelson. The so called iFan just showed how ignorant you are about legally tax avoidance structures. Apple as Google, etc. is acting legally. Europeans and specially the Irish need to change their laws in order to be able to tax more. The irish are reluctant because Apple, Google, etc.. create lots of jobs in Ireland. Please don't spread your ignorance.

  • Apple's Q3 Bonanza: The Real Story May Be Not Quite So Bullish [View article]
@MB. another reiteration of your market share theory.
You invent sales numbers for each Iphone without any reason. But have you asked yourself a simple question: why so many people buy a 3 years old device when other devices are available to them at lower price. The answer is : They want to buy an apple device even 3 years old one.
My question: Aren't you tired of being so often wrong ?

  • Weak Smartphone Markets May Disappoint The Apple Bulls [View article]
Michael Blair will not change whatever Apple company or stock does. MB is long blackbury with a non existing market share & even less profit share but shorts Apple whatever Apple's profit share on the assumption that Apple's market share is shrinking. He doesn's care about the growth of the overall smatphone market & the growth of Apple's sales both numbers sold & $ gained. He only focus on Apple's market share. A percentage obtained by dividing A = number of Iphones sold by, B = number of total smatphone sold. He doesn't understand that A can grow even if the quotiant A/B shrink because B growing faster. He doesn't understand the B's growth is mostly coming from low end smatphone sales growth where there is almost no dofference beetween a smartphone and basic cellphone. He doesn't understand that A's growth has to be compared to the volume of high end smartphone.
I first thought that MB understands the irrelevance of his statements but he does continue posting the same arguments posts after posts, although with a different title & a slightly different way, just for collecting clicks. I was even thinking that he is not really short the stock as he claims.
But then, after seeing him so stuburnly against the evidence article after article and how deliberately he is changing the statistical data to back his vieuws, i am now sure that he is blinded by some kind of hateress probably coming from the fact that Apple's success was built on Blackburies ashes.
I don't read his articles anymore because there is not anything to learn there. Just a quick diagonal reading. I am more interested by blogers posts.

  • Apple Is In Deep Trouble: A Reformed Bull Speaks Out [View article]
@ Ashraf. a few month ago, you were telling us tat Apple will be in the low 300s very soon.
@Autor. You must be blind not seeing the innovations in IP5S & Ipad Air. Innovation is not just a technology future in a device. Being able to reduce the weight by 28% & the thickness by 25% & still have everything you need in the device or, making a nice design is as much innovative as any new technology. It depends of what you are expecting from an Ipad or Iphone.
But Apple is not only innovating on design.
The A7 or M7 or the touch ID are also innovative & revolutionary moves not evolutionary ones. Even Ashraf hadn't foreseen such moves. But after Apple launched them, every one, even Ashraf, knew of them even Ashraf.
By the way, others (Samsung, Google, Nokia, HTC one, etc.. may catch up some times next year. If they can catch up

  • Will Apple's Pricing Strategies Drive Volume Or Water Down The Brand? Maybe Both! [View article]
@ Michael. Your article is, as usual, full of little errors, like the pricing policies of careers). For examples, you are mixing the price of 16, 32 & 64 GB of different brands to back your statement.

You also asses that Apple failed with the 5C. But, sales figures show that 5S & 5C are 1st & 2nd ahead of S4, S3 and all others.

You argue about some discounts being given by retailers as being the sign that 5C is not selling well (despite the above ranking). To many people Those little discounts ($50 on a 549 or 649 worth item) is just an attempt by those retailers to bring the crowd in their stores. Your interpretation is 100% wrong & you know it because you are intelligent enough for not understanding this issue but, you are at the same time not honest enough for arguing the contrary.
If Apple had discounted 5C at its' stores, i would take it as a sign of willing to push the sales of a not good selling product.

I hope you made good money during the last year's sell off period but i doubt you make ant money shorting Apple now that Apple has shown that they are the true leaders of the smartphone market by putting the futures that matter for the end users.

  • Apple: Worth More Than $130 Per Share [View article]
Wow. Nelson's theory ! from where do you get your theory ? Another ignorant's assumption ?
Which stage are Dior, Versace, Porsche, Mercedes benz, Audi, Ferrari, Hermes, Chanel, cartier, Rolex, Tag Huer, Omega, etc.. etc..
Brands life is much longer than what nelson suggests depending how Brands are managed.

  • If Tim Cook Does Not Care About The 'Bloody ROI', Does He Care About The 'Bloody Stock Price'? [View article]
TC's answer was to those stupid questions was the best. The fellow who asked those question should be very stupid to think that Apple's environmental expenses do have some significant effect on ROI. Apple's bottom line is hardly affected by such expenses.

  • Apple's Curious Acquisition [View article]
@exposethetruth. The naysayers reasoning was exactly what you stated with the same wording. Nothing new in your post.
According to you, TC & Apple's army of specialists in every aspect of analysing a target MA company & the board did not see that Apple can do alone for a fraction of the price what Beats can bring to them. According to you Apple's people is blind & incompetant but analysts & WS pundits or the kind of us, bloguers, have more competance in MA & know better what Apple needs or doesn't need.
IMHO, we must wait to see what Beats can bring to Apple and/or which kind of profit Apple can take out of Beats. We don't know Apple's strategy behind this aquisition. As far as Apple is concerned, analysts & people like us see only the visible part of the icebeg before Apple shows us the rest of it.
I don't say that Apple's move to buy Beats is right. I just say that Apple knows better than us.

  • Apple: iPhone Fingerprint Reader Means Government Business [View article]
@pbanados. Very nicely said. You are so right about those self declared "experts" (such as Michael) who think they are right & Apple with their army of engineers & marketers is wrong.
Michael is so negative on Apple that he even comments on technologies that he doesn't understand.

  • A little more on Deutsche/Apple: The firm notes Japanese analyst Yasuo Nakane has long been cautious about FQ2 (March quarter) iPhone builds, and thinks the consensus for FQ2 iPhone sales has fallen to around 37M. The U.S. team thinks Nakane's estimates (45M builds in FQ1, 28M-30M in FQ2) implies upside to his FQ1 sales forecast, and downside to his FQ2 forecast. Meanwhile, his forecast for 17M-19M FQ2 iPad builds implies upside to an FQ2 forecast for sales of 15M. [View news story]
    U r right.
Why should we listen to an analyst guesses/conclusions based on some rumors he may have heard or some infos he may have had which could be partially true or totally false ? No one knows.
Why do we think that these analysts have the clue & know what they are talking about ?
Why dont we think that these analysts have some interest in orienting their comments ?
After all, aren't they concerned by stock's price one way or another ?

  • European Commission Tax Probe Could Cost Apple Billions [View article]
To Author. EC has not done anything yet. EC has fined none of the companies yet. This investigation will take some time and finally, will only be big noise. As the investigations in US have been big noise. The companies like Apple hire the best lawyers and will never do something outside the laws of the country where they reside tax-wise.
They know much better how to deal with this than the author of this article who is trying to grab a negative news and make a case of it.
I am in Belgium & am hearing of this kind of tax avoidance practices every other day since years. None of them have ended in fines supported by the alleged companies.
Last year the France, UK, Belgium, Germany were incriminating Google (also tax resident in Ireland) bringing so called evidences that Google has not paid the country's tax on advertising income generated there but invoiced from Ireland. It was all legal.
As long as the laws are not changed these companies will not be bothered because they are following the laws and this is not a crime and cannot be fined.
So before writing such article which transpires the lack of knowledge on these matters I advise you to inform you better.

  • 2014 May Be The Year To Short Apple [View article]
None of your long term arguments about apple's market share decline can justify your short term bearish move.
The 2 competitors That you are mentioning are losing money with their products. Apple is in the upper side of the 400+ usd market. Apple enjoys the premium brand status & is not competing in this same field as samsung, etc..

  • Apple: Not Out Of The Woods Yet [View article]
@ Ashraf Eassa. I remember many of your articles claiming that you will start a long position in Apple when in mid or low 300's. At that time i told you that you should jump on the leaving train & don't wait the next bottom. Apple was trading @ 425. it then bottomed at 395 & i suppose that you waited the mid or low 300's & you are still waiting.
Again, i recommend you to jump on the train & enjoy the upcoming raise.
    Personally I'm in since 2003. Bought from 7 to 350 each time i could. Never sold. Instead, i bought some more @ 500, 440 & 425.
I could have made good money selling @ 700 & re buying @ 400 but how could i know ?
One thing is sure, with a company like Apple you will certainly win good money if you have enough patience.
