Do you really believe that Steve Jobs who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003, being the consummate planner, innovator and detail micro manager that he was and having seven years to plan for his ultimate inevitable demise would leave his company without a rock solid plan for the foreseeable future? Let us not treat this as though his death was the result of some sudden event. He know it was coming and he most likely laid out the future in great detail as far as his innovative eye could see.

Actually, I consider the article to be full of ho humm and other same old same old stuff. Truth is every time Apple comes to market with a hit product it comes closer to an eventual non-event. That problem would have been present even with Steve Jobs at the helm. None of us know what the future will bring to Apple. What we do know is that Steve Jobs was an incredible visionary and being such he most likely planned well for his departure from the company he loved. Few among us can see around corners as he seemed capable of doing.
I love the words simple and elegant when it comes to Apple products. They are the first words I use when asked why I use them. How is it different than a PC? That my friend is game changing regardless of your negativity.

Do you consider Google to be an innovator? Or,as some believe, is Google surviving off of its search engine without real innovation and therefore vulnerable to competitors picking off pieces of its empire like Facebook has.
I always get a kick out of writers who can see the future but were not prescient enough to have seen it when Apple stock was trading a $2.00 per share. Did you foresee the iPod or the iPad or the iPhone ? My guess is no. So now you have seen that there is an end to the innovation. Your credentials are lacking.
