  • Switzerland: When Safe Havens Turn Dangerous [View article]
You forgot to mention all the measures that the SNB has tried to implement over the last few months (including negative interest rates) with no success in softening the CHF. The political pressure to weaken the CHF(to avoid that Swiss export oriented industries become uncompetitive) is immense. You have drown a lot of conclusions from incomplete facts (already mentioned in another comment : Swiss banks did not lend to eastern countries, it was in fact Italian banks selling mortgages in CHF to Ungarian citizens...... they thought they knew better !).

  • The Financial Crisis: Bailouts, Failures and Death Panels [View article]
Excellent article, the blame for the crisis has to be shared by many private and public institutions and not only by the banks (as you wrote, only a few of them behaved awfully, the others were more victims then anything else). You didn't stress enough, in my opinion, the responsibility of rating agencies who made all this mess possible !

  • Greek Financial Debacle Threatens Swiss Banks [View article]

A few years ago, when gold was trading at a fraction of current prices, gold miners were happy to announce they had sold forward their gold production. Now they are happy to announce that they don't have any hedging anymore. Is this really bullish ?
