I am hoping they have 1 more trick up their sleeve. Insiders have been buying the stock in the $13's. For now I own this P.O.S (Piece Of S...) At least it has an 8% yield. Let's hope the yield will help to support to the stock. By the way, I realize hope is not a good investment strategy.

  • The Perfect REIT For Gamblers [View article]
I tend to agree with Zalach. I am not a big gambler, but I used to go to Vegas, Atlantic City, or Connecticut about 2 - 3 times per year. Last week I opened an online account (I live in NJ) with one of the big casinos and enjoy playing poker and blackjack from my couch on my Ipad. I cannot imagine, ever again, driving to Atlantic City or Connecticut to play poker or blackjack.

  • Amazon's Pullback From $400 Is A Buying Opportunity [View article]
Fiscal 4Q revenues were up 20% Y/Y, with operating income up 26%. As well, full year 2013 sales were up 22% and operating income was up 10%.........

I did not see a mention of Net Income in the above sentence.... Why leave out a pesky item such as Net Income. What next... Include page views and eyeballs as a metric?

  • Tesla: Hope Dies Last [View article]
I guess your right... no other company will ever create a car that runs on batteries..... just like Samsung will never sell as many Galaxy phones as Apple's Iphones... and BlackBerry will always be the leader in business phones.... and Compaq will always be the PC leader... and AOL will always be the go to internet provider... and The New York Times (paper edition) will always be the go to source for news... and no one will ever sell more yoga pants the LuLu... and the only way to drink coffee will be through GMCR's K-cup machine... and teenagers will never stop using Facebook and move on to the next thing... You are right, this time it is different. Pay 70 times next years earnings for a company that has 0 profit. I know, I know, this time it is different. We should value the company on some new metric.

If you are correct.... I think BMW, Mercedes, Honda, Toyota, Ford, and GM will introduce Electric cars to compete with Tesla. What is the barrier to entry? Where is the moat that will keep competitors away from Tesla's grand "Electric Car" idea. How hard will it be for ford (with their 25 billion in cash) to simply copy and improve on Tesla's concept?

Even more incredible... I did not see too many/any downgrades of AMZN. In fact I think the guy from RBS increased his price target to $449.

Will AMZN earn $2.00 next year? Will they earn $1.00? I don't think I have ever seen a company miss on top and bottom and revise future quarters down 8 out of 9 quarters and still be up 75% + over those same quarters.

Seth, you are correct... AMZN should issues stock at this ridiculous market cap and buy UPS with the newly issued stock. You have to think this purchase can only help AMZN's 1% profit margins.

  • Digital Realty: High Dividends And Unanswered Questions [View article]
I am a fan of many of the reit prefs. Many can be purchased with a 7% - 8.5% yield. I plan to buy now and reinvest the dividends. If and when rates on the 10 year go up, the reinvestment of my dividends as the value of the prefs fall will help increase my average yield. **** note*** this is only good for people who plan to buy, hold, and reinvest the dividends.
