  • Astro-Med: Growth, Income, And Undervalued [View article]
Hi i have been a considerable investor in ALOT for a long time. Albert Ondis and Pizzuti were good managers for the company. However, they were old line thinkers
and kept things even keel with steady but not robust growth.
The company has repurchased a considerablie amount of shares from the ONDIS
family estate and they most probably will not sell any more shares under $20..00
Mr. Woods is beginning to attempt to bring better growth to ALOT>
ALOT needs to be aggressive in buying back more shares and to improve margins.
If margins and growth cannot be improved , Wood should try and sell the company.

  • Progenix trading halted while Ad Comm meets [View news story]
I am a considerable shareholder in PGNX. PGNX HAS CASH and other products in the pipeline . I think PGNX has a good chance of receiving a positive response from the advisory committee which would make it worth in excess of 6.50 a share.
If not, then the stock may fall to between 2.50 and 2.75 a share.
I believe that PGNX would not have asked for an appeal to the earlier CRL letter if they did not have some additional ammunition to fight for approval. But there is no definite predictability as to the outcome . The odds favor approval though,

  • China bans Windows 8 for government computers [View news story]
America in WWII kissed everyones behind until the Japanese hit them at Pear Harbor. America also did nothing when they knew full well millons were being put to death for no reason.
MSFT has had the same attitude towards China multi-billion $$ piracy.
If they had this issue they should have some fix to shut them all down for
non-payment as an update feature. The new software should have a fail safe anti-piracy feature. No MSFT product should be sold without the Chinese Govt
agreeing to enforce anti piracy rules with strict penalties.
MSFT should retaliate with an immeadiate XP shutdown of any pirated copies ... They

MSFT deserves this by having allowed China to pirate it's product. MSFT should have a built in feature to disallow pirating of it's product !! It's time China allowed it's
citizens to have this freedom of product and will improve the countrys development
    without fear

  • Microsoft At $40 [View article]
Factually, MSFT has done wonders in the last 10 years terms of revenue and earnings.. MSFT are not mediocre and have begun getting traction in the
marketplace. Should MSFT begin a few integrations and innovations the stock will
shoot-up to meteoric levels. Should Ballmer resign from the Board with Gates taking a minor role the stock will easily reach $50.00. For no reason Ballmer received no
credit for some solid accomplishments. Ballmer must completely leave if not for
appearance reasons alone. H !!!e should put his ego aside and walk away for company's sake. Gates should immediately follow suit and leave. SIANARA !!

  • Bear Raid On Progenics Pharmaceuticals Provides Opportune Buy [View article]
I own progenics for many years. Needham just recommended the stock with an $8.00 tgt.
Brean murray was also bullish on the stK. Stifel hit the stk by jumping the gun on the abstract
report on the Phase 2 study. The question is if they will follow through on the Phase 3.
while the recent analyst conference heard mgt very excited the question of the future processes is crucial in the months ahead. If more significant news emerges from the company the stk is a $12.00 to $15.00 stk. I would not go crazy until I see some more substantial news !

  • Device Sales May Propel Microsoft To A Strong Quarter [View article]
Getting the right CEO is the first step for MSFT's resurrection with Gates and Ballmer walking away from the Directorships. Ballmer's
haugthtiness caused MSFT dearly in the marketplace and investors
a good return on their money. While MSFT did grow under his tenure
the competition did better in new fields of opportunity. Michael keep up the good work of describing MSFT"s future growth areas. Do you think BING and XBOX should be sold?(i think they gave sony a run for their money)! DO YOU FEEL CSCO will also benefit by it's collaboration with MSFT and is in a similar position?

  • A Pairs Trade Opportunity As Juniper Networks Refutes Cisco's China Claims [View article]
you bring up some valid points worth considering. However, CSCO is reaching at the 21 level a yield over 3% which puts a cushion on the decline. additionally the $15 billion buyback will keep a decline in CSCO to a minimum from the 19-21 range.
CSCO has made many acquisitions in diverse areas which will bring
fruition in coming years.Competition in it's businesses are increasing
but CSCO has dealt with that before. Chambers has enriched himself over the years and it may be time to go. So, while Juniper has had more success in the short run, CSCO will come out on top in the long run.

  • Cisco's Dramatic Q2 Shortfall Triggering Deserved Sell-Off [View article]
there is no doubt CSCO has some problems. MSFT grew under Balmer after a disastrous economy for years but rallied after he technically resigned. How much of the buybacks went to employees under Chambers and nothing to benefit shareholders. Chambers made a fortune while investors never really benefited. CSCO has made acquisitions that will pan out in the long run in new frontiers but we should know more about these area soon. The final question is whether Chambers will finally work to benefit shareholders or himself and the other $1 Billion plus executives.
