J.P. Morgan's John Bridges can think of more reasons why gold prices have been sluggish (earlier), but believes investors should swoop in to buy the metal via the SPDR Gold Trust (GLD) ETF and shares of selected gold miners. His favorites: Silver Wheaton (SLW), Newmont Mining (NEM) and Goldcorp (GG), whose CEO Chuck Jeannes sees gold at $2,000 in the next two or three years. [View news story]
run the chart NEM, GLD and SPY. NEM has underperformed the sp500 for the past decade while GLD was up 240%. Avoid miners like the plague!
AAPL must split 10 for 1 so in Cramers' continuous rants, who cares if a stock goes from $70 to $40? Once AAPL splits 10 for 1, it will be the first $trillion company!!! I am long btw.

Actually just unloaded a bunch of QQQ which had been held for several years. In fact I just posted a blog (http://bit.ly/5Mj599) comparing SPY, QQQ and AAPL. No is freaking out, we need to start developing the USA's natural resources. Just as locally grown food is better for the world by having a lower carbon footprint, so is true to locally produced energy and materials. Developing USA's resources puts Americans to work, money into the US Treasury, slashes the trade deficit and puts money into the local governments via revenue sharing from the sale of said energy and materials.
Developing Americas vast natural resources like Timber, oil, Natural Gas, uranium, gold, coal, wind, solar and geothermal will allow America to work and pay off all this debt with honor and not print our way to a lower standard of living.
