Seppo2: I am more and more convinced that Q4 earnings report will not contain any negative surprises regarding smartphone sales (consensus was 6.5M)

Davidoff: Personally I'm more intrigued to see the Navteq results. Nokia sealed many contracts at Q3 and their revenue is supposed to be fixed in Q4.

Colaolli: But the most important thing is that how many WP8 lumias they will sell since they dont make much profit with WP7.5 Lumias.

NIKKG: I'm not gonna sell anymore shares and just gonna sit on my 10,000 until earnings before I decide on what to do next. .

Leont68: Im estimating 9 t o 10 million windows phone sales in total in quarter 4 with Nokia making up 70 percent of total sales.

Leont68: So 7 million ish Lumia 920 sales should total around 2 million worldwide because of on going shortages , best selling = 510

Seppo2: @leon Which would be roughly the analysis consensus of 6.5M. So no negative surprises coming...

Leont68: I grabbed all those number out of the air lols. but I would love to see how close my guestimates are compared to the quarter 4 report lol

Seppo2: Why do you think the price is gonna drop (even more) leading to the earnings call?

Leont68: hmm lets see, where to start, mostly because I think bad analyst coverage, bloggers spreading fud about nokia and wp8 sales.

Leont68: I personally think 7 million is a great number. We got to remember that the 920 didnt go on sale with att until november.

Leont68: and also this quarter we got verizon selling the lumia 820 also. and tmobile the 810

Seppo2: Thanks. Last time the price went up leading to the earnings call, so is the rumor mill gonna be more negative this time then?

Colaolli: The price did not dip on Q3 report either despite only 2.9 million lumia sales which is horrible

Leont68: I think last time there was a lot of short covering going on. Not sure it will happen this time around.
