    • Gene Chan: wow, WP guys must be very threatened by BB10, so many of you trying very hard to bash it on SA
      Jan 30, 10:02 PM
    • Gene Chan: meanwhile you don't even cross their minds, as BB10 is being compared to iPhone instead (and winning): http://bit.ly/119Z3Yq

    • C.E.: In this test, the z10 shot was deliberately aimed higher. http://bit.ly/VtNh66

    • realornot: Seppo: go ahead trash BB10 all you want! It is not going to lift $NOK high enough to shadow Black Berries! Totally pathetic comment!
      Jan 30, 10:46 PM
    • Seppo2: Don't kill the messenger. An independent respected tech site reports a serious problem with the BB Z10 camera. I as an investor want to know
      Jan 30, 10:57 PM
    • realornot: lol ok.... u can be injured by friendly fire!!!! Death by Hard Core Black Berries!!! Very painful...
      Jan 30, 11:00 PM
    • Seppo2: Disclosure: I am long $NOK ATM, have been trading $BBRY, and will probably enter a long pos in $RIMM once the dust has settled...
      Jan 30, 11:00 PM
    • Seppo2: ...and the price is right.
      Jan 30, 11:01 PM
    • Seppo2: @C.E. Thanks, interesting. Why would Gizmodo do that, while they have the positive comparison to iPhone5 on the same site (thanks @Gene)
      Jan 30, 11:07 PM
    • oneinfiniteloop: In all fairness I have to say that when in low light (or total darkness) condition my Lumia 920 does flash even when I set it to off...
      Jan 30, 11:18 PM
    • oneinfiniteloop: ... so in a way that Lumia 920 photo really is taken with a flash on.
      Jan 30, 11:18 PM
    • Seppo2: @1inf Yeah, it does a quick flash to focus, a second or so in advance. But then does not use the flash when taking the actual image.
      Jan 30, 11:20 PM
    • Seppo2: Forcing the flash off like in the Gizmodo is an artificial setting. The real goal for low light tech is when taking photos in large rooms...
      Jan 30, 11:23 PM
    • Seppo2: ...or outside, where no flash would be sufficient to illuminate the whole space. Having said that, I like turning off the flash in my L920
      Jan 30, 11:24 PM
    • Seppo2: ...even in smaller spaces as the color balance is often nicer w/o the flash. The low light tech really does magic in Lumia.
      Jan 30, 11:25 PM
    • oneinfiniteloop: @Seppo2 as you will agree it is matter of semantics in reality that quick flash is enough to excite the sensors to capture information...
      Jan 30, 11:29 PM
    • scavok: You can turn the focus assist light off in the camera settings, which is what that flash is when turned off. The pictures are still amazing.
      Jan 30, 11:29 PM
    • oneinfiniteloop: ...so in a sense I would say that the photo sensors in $NOK are probably better - but they do need a light source all the same.
      Jan 30, 11:30 PM
    • oneinfiniteloop: I am not sure why Gizmodo would do such a shoddy job with reporting - seems a consorted effort over last 3 days by WSJ, Gizmodo and others
      Jan 30, 11:32 PM
    • oneinfiniteloop: to really bring down BB10 launch - similar to what we saw during $NOK Lumia 920 launch. We have been through this script before with $NOK
      Jan 30, 11:33 PM
    • JayXu: Seppo2, what is your entry point. I am waiting to get back in. Would like to know your opinion.
      Jan 31, 12:04 AM
    • oneinfiniteloop: @scavok, I have tried that approach and when I take a photo in low light it is similar to what Gizmodo has posted for Z10...
      Jan 31, 12:25 AM
    • oneinfiniteloop: ... If you want I can post that post for you to see.
      Jan 31, 12:25 AM
    • oneinfiniteloop: I meant if you want I can post the photos for you to see...
      Jan 31, 12:26 AM
    • oneinfiniteloop: I can bet you that the photo that Gizmodo has taken from Lumia 920 has the initial quick flash on action set to ON.
      Jan 31, 12:28 AM
    • C.E.: Gizmodo has taken the lumia photo with flash on. No camera can capture so much color with low lux. This article is a farce.
      Jan 31, 1:36 AM
    • scavok: I've taken several without flash that turned out like that. With certain settings, you can capture more light without flash than your eyes
      Jan 31, 7:20 AM
    • scavok: You just risk blurring the picture because it has a long exposure time, but that's what the 920 stability control is for.
      Jan 31, 7:20 AM
    • scavok: However if you're going to try to take a low-light picture of a moving object, it's still total crap.
