Seppo2: @1inf Yeah, it does a quick flash to focus, a second or so in advance. But then does not use the flash when taking the actual image.

Seppo2: Forcing the flash off like in the Gizmodo is an artificial setting. The real goal for low light tech is when taking photos in large rooms...

oneinfiniteloop: @Seppo2 as you will agree it is matter of semantics in reality that quick flash is enough to excite the sensors to capture information...

scavok: You can turn the focus assist light off in the camera settings, which is what that flash is when turned off. The pictures are still amazing.

C.E.: Gizmodo has taken the lumia photo with flash on. No camera can capture so much color with low lux. This article is a farce.

scavok: I've taken several without flash that turned out like that. With certain settings, you can capture more light without flash than your eyes

scavok: You just risk blurring the picture because it has a long exposure time, but that's what the 920 stability control is for.

scavok: However if you're going to try to take a low-light picture of a moving object, it's still total crap.
