  • Corinthian Colleges: 38% Downside, A Great Short Play [View article]
My recommendation is for those reading this article is to listen or read the last qtr.'s meeting. Long term, stock is looking good.
These profit institutions offer more courses that are associated with community colleges. Unfortunately more jobs are leaning toward students receiving certifications rather than BA degrees.
Nice to have the degree but four year colleges are not preparing students for jobs.
Also you need to look at other factors. Obama care will force much more layoffs in addition to the normal mergers and mechanization that brings about layoffs.
Many of those people will already have degrees and will need to go to these profit schools to learn a trade, programming, etc.
Many have lost their money trying to short a stock. Read more about Corinthian, from their site, before making your decision.

  • Medical Marijuana Inc. To Launch New Products [View article]
As a trader for over 20 years, just remember you still need to do your homework. I warned many traders on other speculative stocks including the weight loss drugs. Many got hurt thinking those stocks were going so high and they got greedy and are holding or sold at a loss.
I own two marijuana stocks and want to see them go up but I also own other well known stocks so I am doing very well.
Not only watch what the gov't does but make sure you wait for what you believe is honest news from these marijuana companies. With speculative stocks, no news is not good. And news from others trying to bring up or down the stock is not good. If you are new to trading, you will get hurt.
On speculative stocks that have no news, try to look at facts and not opinions. Do your own research. There are many marijuana start ups, I cannot recommend any at this time so I am not sure how others can recommend. If you can make a quick profit, do it. Remember, you are trading to make a profit not try to time the stock.

I am long on both MJNA and NTRR but do not recommend a buy at this time. I am not going to restate what everyone else has stated above. My concern is strictly news or lack of news that come from each of the companies, more concern with MJNA.
Marijuana is moving forward in the medical field and becoming a little more accepted in the recreational area so why are these two stocks not moving up more quickly. So, I wait until real news comes directly from the companies. For new traders, stick with traditional stocks and if you buy the stocks above, buy with spare money. Remember, no matter what anyone says, these stocks are very speculative and I am saying this as an owner of both stocks.

If you are doing the trading, it is $7.95 a trade same as any stock. Sometimes Fidelity runs specials for new customers, first 200 trades are free but not sure of the limit you need to put in.
Very satisfied with their on-line site for trading and information.

I own MJNA and still in hold mode for the company. The Feds did change how they will deal or I should say not deal with Washington and Colorado which is good for MJNA; but would be nice to see the actual law change.

I also believe I heard something with NJ that may pass a law allowing for more than three types of Marijuana being grown which will help for medical Marijuana for children. I am sure some one here will have more knowledge than I do regarding NJ.

  • Corinthian Colleges to face liquidity and operational challenges: Compass Point [View news story]
I was on their call and for some reason did not see what Tarkan saw. Their overall 2014 outlook is positive and some of their competitors are no longer around. Their major concern was the first qtr and it was not a major issue.

My recommendation for those that may sell off and allow others to buy low, listen to the call or read the transcripts from the call which included a question and answer session.

If you are looking for a quick gain that will not happen unless you buy now. COCO will do very well in the second half of 2014.

  • Alexza Expects 2nd Half Of 2013 And 2014 To Be Eventful [View article]
You should just focus on how ALXA has executed their strategy. They have done everything so well. And remember they are partnering with the largest generic pharma company, TEVA.

Excellent questions. All of the comments I have made has been very positive on ALXA and I own a good amount of shares on three accounts so you can easily see my views on ALXA. When the stock drops to where it is now, below $4.50, I continue to add.
It is very unusual for me to load up on one stock but the future is so clear. Right now everyone is only looking at this year but just look at the potential. I am already past ADASUVE, I already know how well that drug will do, I am looking at their potential with other drugs using the Staccato platform.
When ALXA starts showing profits, the stock will be much higher and many will miss out on buying at the current price. I can easily state that I have no plans on selling any of my shares in 2013 and will probably continue to add when it is below $4.50 which it is now.
I normally like to buy and sell but not this stock. This is beyond what any analyst states; this is now common sense.

  • Corinthian Colleges will not be required to post letter of credit [View news story]
This is a major hurdle that is now over. I own the stock and have no plans of selling.

Lets wait for the company to announce their earnings on Aug 29.

  • Alexza announces Adasuve launch [View news story]
Catalyst will continue through out this year as they announce their marketing in the rest of Europe and when they start in this country. Those announcements will raise the stock price but I am looking into 2014 when they start raking in more profits.
Want to continue to see the news as they continue phase 2 on another drug.
This is one company I have no problem holding on to.

  • 3 Near-Term Drivers For Medical Marijuana, Inc. [View article]
I own MJNA on multiple accounts. I am not satisfied with their marketing and lack of information but since it is a penny stock, I will continue to own and see what happens.
What I can definitely say is no matter how low this stock may go, I will not add to my position.
So my recommendation continues to be hold only.
Now going back to their marketing campaign, there could be a dilemma that all marijuana companies have. The more you advertise, there is a better chance that the Feds will come after you. Since it is still illegal, it appears the Feds will not bother you if you do not look to embarrass the Feds by advertising. Stay under the radar and you can do business.
Due to this dilemma, I cannot recommend buying only holding.

They will still make a profit on wholesale prices and again if they advertise to all, they will get new customers. If they are just reaching out to existing customers, not a good move.
Many brokerage companies advertise free trades to new customers; I will be curious to know if they are reaching out to all.

This is what I want to see from MJNA: "Neutra Corp. (NTRR.OB) (OTCBB: NTRR), a fast-growing provider of all-natural wellness solutions, announced today that it has hired a an experienced executive to spearhead the companys new research and development projects in the $42 billion nutraceuticals industry including projects targeting the booming $1.7 billion medical cannabis sector."

What MJNA must do is come out with a complete marketing plan for all of the companies they own and/or manage.
As states approve marijuana, I would expect the stock price to rise but it has not. Just like other stocks I own, they should have a call and allow questions. I am looking for a clear direction.
I cannot see any further dilution of stock; at that point they may have to call it quits. Just remember, what comes with dilution is a 1 to 10 reverse split.
Citi did their reverse split and many people look at it as a $53.00 stock but in reality without the reverse split, it would be $5.30.
Not putting this in the same league but any further dilution will hurt this company. They need a plan or they need to hire only one person that is an expert in marketing; they do not need to hire a team. One person with a plan.

At least everyone's hair will be relaxed.

Lets hope they are reading our comments and understand we are trying to help them. They need to market to all and not just a specific audience. They need to look from the outside and realize perception of how they are running their company is poor. They must change that or otherwise they will be missing in action.
