  • The Obstacles To UniPixel's Production And Shipments [View article]
Great points, Chris. I'm glad that you still have the energy to rationally rebuke the shorts' b.s. My patience for their shoddy research grew very thin a long time ago!

Wow. How long has this piece of S*&%$ been sitting on the shelf, waiting for UNXL's 1st p.o.? I really didn't want to waste 3 minutes to read this, but thought it might be amusing. It was, in a very pathetic way.

Wow!!! These comments are so far off the mark! How's HK doing. How 'bout AMRN? HK soooo over-valued vs. peers....

Hopefully you're not trying to portray yourself as a PJ analyst. If so, you might want to learn how to spell "Jaffray". Also, mix in a 4th grade English class...clown...

I'll be a bit more blunt than Akram. You're an assclown. Believe me, this author is not dependent on a few bucks from SA article fees to make it to his next meal.

You're a screenplay writer and you're telling a guy with Akram's background & expertise that his observations are worthless & w/o merit??? That is hilarious. You are a shining example of just how easy it is for the best & brightest to fleece the retail sheeple!

Karl: Great input. I have to agree. I also agree with Akram that CB is absolutely "all in" with NQ. I stated on Twitter shortly after the MW accusations were published that when all is said & done, Carson Block will be regarded as "the Milli Vanilli of short sellers". That may have been a bit of sensationalism, but we'll see how it shakes out.

  • NQ Mobile: A Neutral Observer's Take [View article]
For the record, I am long NQ. I've held a heavily-weighted portfolio position since early January and have been an NQ bull since taking the initial positon. I've aggressively defended NQ & its management via Twitter.

I'm not a very good short seller. Perhaps it's because I've typically trusted people to a fault for all of my life. That's probably a personality fault/flaw of mine. I've been burned a few times, but would still rather go through life as a trusting & loyal person. My view is that the vast majority of people, including public companies' management teams, are good, hard-working, honest people.

However, as we all know, there are those execs who knowingly perpetrate fraud for personal gain. There are also those whose incompetence, aggressiveness, or a partial disregard for shareholders inadvertently cause serious and/or irreparable damage to their companies & their stock price.

I consider Akram to be a friend. He is also one of most brilliant analytical/investment minds I know. He has a phenomenal ability to uncover vastly over-valued tech companies and develop a short thesis to rival the world's foremost hedge fund short-sellers. In fact, many of these guys are in regular contact with Akram & trust him for his insights.

We've been in contact since MW published the allegations. I asked Akram about his thoughts because I value his input tremendously. We don't always agree on stock-specific, macro, or micro views, but I never, ever disregard any of his insights. I'd be a dumbass to do so.

For those of you longs crapping all over Akram without objectively reading his observations re NQ and weighing them vs. your investment thesis, I believe that you are doing yourself & your clients (if you have them) a huge disservice.

Akram has helped me to look at the NQ big picture through a more objective lens. While I do not believe that NQ has knowingly perpetrated fraud, I do feel that there is a possibility that management's over-zealous, over-aggressiveness, "salesy" nature may end up being responsible for irregularities, over-statements, etc. Time will tell.

While I remain long, I have taken & will continue to take Akram's observations to heart. I've become much more cautious re NQ as a result of his input. I believe that it is reckless & short-sighted to disregard his thoughts without first objectively assessing them. Bottom line, this guy is head & shoulders above 99.997% of us commenting here on Sheeping Alfalfa.

  • Qunar Boosts IPO Price Range, NQ Hit Again [View article]
You are utterly clueless & hope you are short NQ. NQ WAS dirt-cheap @ $24 & is obviously much, much more attractive now. Accelerating top & bottom line growth. On a PEG basis alone, it is extremely undervalued vs. its competitors & vs. the broad market:

    NQ: PEG=0.26
    Industry Group PEG=1.24
    S&P 500 PEG=1.85

Stock Shorter may have no clue what PEG is...and I'm too busy to explain...

  • Sunshine Heart: Profitability And A 'Light Bulb' Moment [View article]
My take is similar to Scott's. SSH's prospects are quite compelling, but it's so, so early in the ballgame. I'm impressed w/CEO Dave Rosa. High quality management is very important to me.

Bottom line, SSH is a heavily-weighted (# 7 as of c.o.b.) holding in my Emerging Life Sciences portfolio. It will remain so as long as the company continues to progress through trials & the FDA approval process. Many years ago I came to the realization that delays & glitches are more the norm than the exception. I also learned to never, ever base an investment decision on buyout rumors. That's a losers bet.

If all goes well with SSH in the coming years, perhaps I'll have a 10 or 20 bagger. That would obviously be great! However, it's much too early for me to waste a whole lot of energy debating if/when a buyout will occur, or whether SSH is worth $250M or $2.5B. Wake me up in 2016 & let me how things turned out!

  • Antares Pharma Inc- FDA Approval With A Hint Of Adam F Manipulation [View instapost]
Great job. Thanks for taking the time to write it. I never invest due to takeover/m&a rumors. However, as you are aware, there have been rumblings about Pfizer being an ideal suitor for ATRS. We'll see what happens...
