  • Swiss Government Bond Yields Signaling De-Pegging Of Swiss Franc Against Euro [View article]
I do not see them dropping the peg. The Tourist businesses and the Exporters...dont want the peg dropped. Capital controls will be brought in ...that will be the next step, when it is needed.,if the Euro really dives.

  • Brussels considers a EU-wide "deposit guarantee scheme" to be funded by a new tax on banks, reports the Sunday Times. Top brass feels removing the threat of bank collapse can check the spread of contagion from Greece to Spain and beyond. It seems, however, Greek fears are less about deposit risk and more about denomination risk, i.e. waking up one morning to find your euro deposits converted to drachmas.  [View news story]
Greeks have been keeping the cash in the Mattress for a long time.. centuries...they are wise people...
They should be taking out their cash...closing the shutters and moving to Australia and Canada...leave Grandma to keep the farm ..and come back when the Drachma has dusted herself off...

  • Japan reports holding a net $3.19T in foreign assets at the end of 2011, hanging on to its position as the world's top creditor nation. The position marks a rise from 2010, which may also dampen expectations on China overtaking the Japanese as the number one creditor anytime soon.  [View news story]

  • Why 'New York Times' Economist Paul Krugman Is Partly Right But Mostly Wrong [View article]
We need to talk about Campaign Contributions. If we could stop Americas Political Money machine, we could start fixing Americas Future. As you all know, by haveing such expensive Political Races, this requires big money. Big money buys votes. Change the electoral process in America, job number 1. Once you accomplish that, then both parties will stop promising the things that are paid for with your inflated tax dollars.

  • Don't End The Fed - Just Ignore It [View article]
Did you catch Charlie Rose advertising Paul Krugmans new book? I beleive Krugman is an Economic Monster and he shoud be listened to only so we know what THEY have up their slimey sleeves. When Charlie intelligently asked at the end of the advertisement (I refuse to call it an interview) How did Krugman think to get out of the Volcanic Debt Burden in the USA, Krugman answered, WITH DEATH PANELS AND SALES TAX. Watch the last of the show to enjoy this Monster repeat those words yourself.

The Fed is a problem in the way that it is closed to public investment, at least in Switzerland you can be a share holder of the SNB. But any government that listens to Krugman is more of a worry than the biggest baddest bank around.

  • How The 1% Think About Their Wealth [View article]
Personnally if your going to be filthy rich...I think you should give away your money quietly and anonymously. If you make a big deal out of giving your money away, then your doing it for your own gain. I have zero respect for big noise making charity givers.

  • Taking A Big Step Back For Perspective On Gold [View article]
The Dow is for gamblers, Gold is for investors.
Gold is not to sell it is to buy in physical form.
Your favourite lifestyle products are a better investment than the Dow.
It was a buddys birthday yesterday and I was asked what to give a guy that has everything. I suggested to give him a gold coin. Probably none of his other friends would have ever given him such a small valuable token of trust and security. Thats gold in a nutshell. Trust and security ensured by those that hold it.

  • America, Government Out Of Control? [View article]
    Your guilty until proven RICH!

Does the US Government see themselves as RICH with Americas wealth? I think they do.
Does the Swiss Government see themselves as rich with Switzerlands wealth? I dont think so.
The difference is, that Switzerland is ruled by a direct democracy and America is ruled by Big Government.
America needs to change more than the President, they need to change the political system to one more like the Swiss System, only then....will America recover from this abuse of her wealth.

  • The Trouble With Italy [View article]
Italy and Spain handle the brunt of the African immigrants. Grow a large percent of Europes food, they are very important to Europe as a whole just for these two points. They will be bailed out. Everyone will be bailed out...and the debt will be erased at some stage in the next few years with fancy bookkeeping. The Euro wont crash...but it will be revalued.

  • High levels of a chemical that causes tumors in animals were found in Coca-Cola (KO) and Pepsi (PEP) sodas, according to a consumer advocacy group pressing regulators to ban a color additive. A consumer would have to drink more than 1,000 cans of soda in a day to match the doses administered in studies that showed links to cancer in rodents, the FDA counters.  [View news story]
This smells like an Obama Government massaged story to encourage the folks on Welfare to train them now to drink tap water...before their benefits get cut, and or to help them switch to a beverage that doesnt contribute to their blood sugar levels.
Im sure the study group did think of ways to envolve Iran in this story, but didnt want the drinks removed from their taxpayer provided cafeterias.

  • A Return To The Gold Standard Could Destroy The Modern Economy [View article]
Im totally into a barter and metal economy. No government is watching foreigners trade goods in the barter system. But they are watching us trade via bank accounts. So, I think Barter is around for a long time, for those that have real physical assets to trade.I am sorry for those that have only paper and blips on a screen....
I am totally going to stay stone age....see you clubbing soon?
