  • Another Crisis Looms Right Around the Corner [View article]
The Swiss had it right, not long ago every household had to have a food reserve for 6months for each family member. Pasta, rice, sugar..and so on. This law was fazed out sadly, due to complaints of not enough space in todays small apartments to store this food. Having this law, is just so smart, at least your neighbour wouldnt be trying to rob you for your food......
Its time reinstitute this law. Or move to Utah.

  • Dubai Could Affect Ireland, Greece and More [View article]
Dubai is a fake. The whole Dubai super life is fake. I was there only once, only once for a week, but all smelled fake, apart from the Gold Souk, and the old port.
The developers tried to build an American City.....they had all the hotels, chain restaurants, but none of them were INDEPENDENTLY OWNED. They didnt understand that, a hard working person, husband and wife, or a small team, is what built the American dream.
The developers in Dubai, thought they could BUY western capitalisim........its sad but true......
They attract sports stars with free hotels, free everything, plus plus.
The whole Dubai success story is a fake. Now everyone can see it, I am sad but happy the truth is out.

  • Obama will rise and fall with the dollar: The electorate is only as happy as the value of the greenbacks in their pockets.  [View news story]
Yes Bbro is correct. Its jobs.
In Switzerland the CHF has been low and stays low...due to the export business...it is the spine of the country..The dollar can afford to stay low, even though it is the reserve currency, all people want is strength, money that wont bounce.
Right now Obama is only interested in trying to get his Health Scare passed and get some new taxes installed in the form of Carbon tax.

  • Why Krugman Is Wrong About the Yuan [View article]
Krugman won a Nobel prize, Obama won a Nobel prize, Gore won a Nobel prize.....
I don't think the people that give awards and prizes, Golden Globes or Best Seller status, judge on merit, they judge on their dinner party status.

When the dollar was strong, I was struggling with Forex issues in a import business....Now I am struggling with investment losses. Nothing has changed in the world except our personal views and situations. All is the same, depending on when you got into certain equities...and along the way, you may not have actually made any money.
The point is to keep your money and to go forward not backward.

The Yuan is okay at the level it is trading, what the US actually wants is for China to open up their markets.
When you barter for goods, don't you always look more interested in the item that interests you less????
Obama, should do his job at home, and that is to focus on getting jobs for Americans, by decreasing US government size and giving the savings to the small and Medium business in America in tax cuts.
Stop blaming past Presidents and foreign groups and governments for HOLDING US BACK.
Then Obama, may win a Nobel Legacy from the people.

  • Hyperinflationary Depression Must Be Avoided  [View article]
Personally I think you should enjoy this financial crisis and be wondering why Walmart has started stocking coffins!!

What governments need right now is a plague.
This would naturally and quickly, balance the books for most governments.

I totally don't wish this to happen, this is a horrible thought, and I wish every one a wonderful long, healthy and prosperous life full of love.
But right now H1N1 seems very convenient, on several fronts.
The pressure is on all over the world to get the shot. It is a catch 22.

Private hospitals, and private insurers must be kept centre front as an affordable option for individual rights. Yes the government can help, but how BIG a help.

America is all about competition, so the States must be able to compete with insurance and care.

Lastly any company dealing with the holding of, or the incubation of, catastrophic diseases should be flagged so we know know whom and where they are located.

  • Rampant Theft and Bribery Make It Difficult to Transform Russia's Economy [View article]
I know several banks that dont take Russian clients, and recently had complaints from a Bulgarian Serb, about not being able to bribe Swiss.
Most Balkan countries use it widely, but it is called a favour.
    Italians use it rampantly.
Unfortuantely, too many people see power in bribery....in offering the bribe, they feel powerful, and then being rejected they want to make you feel the heat, so they feel power again.
I think it is a art/style mosty used by the uneducated.
I must be too dumb to try it!!!

  • A Rough Day at the Office for Tim Geithner [View article]
Great videos...strong wise questions from flawless questioners...fantastic, thankyou.
Amazing how Senator Obama and Geithner previous position before this administration, carry ZERO responsibility in market melt down 2007/8.
We can all make a difference? It seems Geithner and President Obama believe this not to be true, as to them, it is one mans job alone, and it always falls in the lap of the PREVIOUS President.

  • The Weak Dollar Crowd Is Too Confident [View article]
    Trade WAR.
What does the US want....trade war. with China because of the cheap Yuan...The US wants to win a sales war, ...sell products...sell USA products....Jobs are the key to the recovery.....
So the dollar must stay low.....
The Obamanomics team say Its Jobs Stupid...

Look at the CHF....they keep going lower....they must keep the CHF low as they must be able to sell their goods to the EU.....
The CHF does not want to be overtaken by the safe haven status...

The USD dollar will stay low for the next......year ...

  • Ron Paul's audit-the-Fed measure makes it out of committee with the power to look at the central bank's balance sheet as well as monetary policy. The panel chose Paul's proposal over a weaker one offered by Mel Watt; it joins the other proposals in the bank reform package now set for a Dec. 1 vote.  [View news story]
As RP has said, what exactly makes it into the bill may return nothing near to what he was wanting.
Whatever eventuates, he has the right timing on his side....as he knows timing is everything.

The worst case scenario, for RP, is that he gets what he wants and is accused for the crash of the USD.
My good thougths are with him.

  • Newspapers: The Opportunity of Bankruptcy [View article]
Many good points, very informative views from the author. Yes all businesses should take advantage of downsizing now,

Print is not dead, for me, but for the next generation, which is here now, it needs to include Wired magazine as a regular section, on the front page. Political news should be lessened, it is full of so much old news..So much propaganda.
Free newspapers should be the norm.
Business, technology and sports and so on should be sponsored.
Coupons for shows, restaurants, product launches and consumer testing invitations as I recently saw in Las Vegas at the Millemium mall, all these advertisers could be a form of revenue. Advertising in print is not dead.

Print should be available, to print your own copies, perhaps you just want sports, perhaps an overview of world news, whether at home, on the train, at the train station and at the super market checkout.

Mass transit is the future for most, there will be a continual stream of information available on mass transit, so print may not be needed, and neither will tablets due to theft.

Print is not dead, it is just most media giants are so greedy, they want the little guy to keep on paying for the big guys.

  • Roubini Says 'Don't Forget About Me' [View article]
I am no longer listening to Roubini. As much as I admire his knowledge, I find he is delaying MY recovery.

Is he encouraged, perhaps, I have no proof, by the US government to keep us all too scared to trade, to keep us away from gold and to bet on letters of the alphabet.
By the way it is a Y.

I no longer think USD rates will be increased in the near term. As of Nov 17 09 I believe the next adjustment will be down.
