  • American Realty Capital Properties Yields 8% But Not In My Portfolio [View article]
This is the first article of yours that I have read. I do not know which asset classes that you write about.

I recommend that you stay away from writing about eREITS since you obviously do not know the correct way to value them. Either that or you are writing a "hit piece" on purpose.

Follow you ?? Heck no, never.

    Long ARCP, O

  • REITs: Why The Dividends Are A Mirage [View article]
The decrease (dilution) that we are seeing with ARCP is due to the 160M shares awarded to the ARCT investors due to the merger .. not the typical public offering.

You hand picked stocks to make your point !!!
    How about the following???? :

STAG has gained approx. $5/share price since we purchased it in Sept. 2012 with a quarterly div. of $.30.
WSR purchased in August has gained over $1.50/share price w/ div.$.285 quarterly.
And, then .. there is MPW that has gained close to $3.50/share price with a $.20 div. quarterly just since mid December.
I could go on .. HTA, etc.

When it comes to eReits, I listen to Brad Thomas and Dane Bowler.

  • Retirement Strategy: How Owning Higher Yielding Stocks Can Offer Greater Income [View article]
How about including a REIT such as Realty Income"O". It has a history of many years of always paying and increasing its dividend. "O" also pays monthly.
However, I would wait for a pullback. See Brad Thomas' SA articles on "O".

RS, Thank you for a very interesting article.

  • Healthcare REITs May Not Post Healthy Returns In A Rising Rates Environment [View article]
I agree with you about Senior Housing, Skilled Nursing homes in particular.

However, as the 3rd year of Baby Boomers has arrived, MOBs and Hospitals should see a high demand for Seniors nearing age 70.

I have refused to purchase any Healthcare REIT with Skilled nursing homes.
I own HTA, a pure-play MOB, MPW a pure-play Hospital REIT and BMR which is a Biomed.

Although interest rates play a role in all REITs, your article should have included those Healthcare REITs that DO NOT own any Skilled Nursing facilities.

So, to me ... Your article is incomplete !!!!!!!!!

  • Stem Cells: Invest At Your Own Peril [View article]
Adam and his friends appreciate your "piece" on a bio stock ... and you are just now (as stated at the beginning of your article) learning about stem cells .. Great job .. You made the main articles on SA .. You must be proud .. but, from this investor, you are a writer to ignore in the future.

Btw, STEM is up so far today .. not going along with this -50% market.

  • REITs: Why The Dividends Are A Mirage [View article]
I'll say again ... You chose specific stocks to make your point .... You chose the one REIT that is going through a merger ... why not speak to REITs such as O, STAG, MPW ... etc.

I know why ... You no nothing about these REITs ... You are not anywhere a REIT expert ... please stay away from REITs (We have Brad Thomas for these) .... please stay within your realm of knowledge.

  • Making Magic: Monthly REIT Dividends [View article]
Brad ... Very interesting article ... Thank you !!

I do wish that instead of so much detail on CLDT that you would have spoken about a few others such as STAG.

I am retired and do not need dividends for living expenses. I do not reinvest the dividends. Instead, I choose to use dividends to purchase the stocks that look the best. For instance, along with some cash, I was able to purchase my 2nd traunch of STAG at a decent price rather than reinvesting MNR, etc..

It also allowed me to buy stocks such as CSCO, T, CSX, etc. for diversification.

I am really looking forward to your risk-ranking of monthly payers. I would also like to see the stars for your Salsa portfolio in addition to the Swans. Thanks !!

  • Up Close With This Pure Play Hospital REIT CEO [View article]
Great article, Brad .. Thank you!!!

My concern as a Newsletter subscriber is if we are not SA PROS (which I am not), there are articles written as recently as 3 months ago, and we are not allowed to see them here. And, there is nowhere else that we can see them ... probably due to a contract for authors with SA.

I print a lot of Brad's articles .. but not all of them ... They are pretty long :).

I have learned so much from Brad and greatly appreciate him.

  • American Realty Capital Properties Is No Mirage: It's Time To Back Up The Truck [View article]

Thank you for your timely response to yesterday's "Mirage" article.

I was very surprised and a bit shocked that an author who obviously knows very little (if anything) about REITs even ventured into putting down ARCP and its dividend.

I read all of the comments on the "Mirage" article, and a number of us stated that Brad Thomas is THE REIT author who we follow ... The guru :)!!

    Very Long ARCP !!

Again, thank you, Brad ... You are our "White Knight" who rode in !!

  • Cisco Seems Prime For A Dip Unless Core Profitability Improves [View article]
Thank you for your attempt to write an article .. However, your totally negative content confirms in your Bio that you are a high school student. Perhaps your intention was to write a hit piece .. If so, you did a good job.

Keep practicing, and, next time do not use "combative" terms and include some of the good side of the company.

    Good Luck to You !!

  • If STAG Industrial Was A Car It Would Be A Mustang [View article]
Brad .. I saw your title in my SA portfolio articles .. I knew that it was you :)
    Great article !!

I purchased 1 tranche of STAG in Sept. 2012 for just under $15.90. WOW .. STAG really took off. Early on I watched earnings and was surprised to see STAG keep zooming. I thought of it as a cult stock :). During the "Taper Tantrum", STAG went down around the mid $19-$20 range. I sure wish that I would have purchased more at that time since my holding is a small % of my portfolio.

I will check your Newsletter for your Buy price and will be ready to nibble some more. I have to say it :), I love STAG !! Thank you, Brad, for your great Newsletters and emails to Newsletter Subscribers. Socksycat
