  • Another Setback For Lexicon, But Not In Diabetes [View article]
I'd really like to see the data they used to support their statement that adjusting for the placebo dropout, the 500mg tid was significant (p<0.05).

I'm curious of the value before, number of drop-outs in both groups, etc.

  • Lexicon Pharmaceuticals falls on LX1033 top-line data [View news story]
"Further analyses of the stool consistency data were performed adjusting for early terminations which may have enhanced the placebo response rate. These additional analyses of stool consistency yielded favorable results for the LX1033 500mg three times daily dose group compared to placebo, and some of these findings were associated with statistically significant results (p<0.05)."

  • With 'Progress' Like Lexicon's, Who Needs Failure? [View article]
The data I was interested in seeing was a comparative study of LX4211 vs canagliflozin and a cardio study measuring changes from baseline in QTc intervals.

I see these more important in the short run as compared to T1D as it could deter from a P3 in T2D.

LX4211 vs canagliflozin to show if it is better than what is currently marketed. If not, I see less foothold for it.
Cardio to show if the drug changes QTc, as this is a safety concern for T2D drugs. If does cause these changes then I personally would pass for another drug.

I'm with you there Stephen, I wish there was a little more definitive of a response when it comes to partnership and advancement of LX4211.

I was hoping to hear about a few studies in LX4211 that shows as recently completed, but there was no mention of any of the three studies. I keep thinking to myself 'this study has to be the final key', but still sit waiting.

  • Chart Of The Day – Wednesday, October 30, 2013 [View instapost]
I noticed a slight difference when I went from west Michigan to north Ohio. Growing season was just different enough to throw my plans - first year I lost a little growing season.

I'll be saving this chart as well, first time I grow a new plant I'm always confused as to the best start date.

  • Will More Good Data From Lexicon Finally Bring In A Partner? [View article]
I'm still in love with this company. Showing effectiveness in patients with renal failure is huge as this combination reduces the number of medications one can take making any such medication more important.
Here's to hoping this was the final piece in the partner puzzle.
