  • National Presto: Why It's Still a Value Investment [View article]
Very good analysis. My concern would be less technical. It seems to me that the price has risen too far too quickly. Despite the continuing economic woes the price has almost doubled since March. These guys compete in the retail market (at least with their kitchen products) and I don't see how their sales could be growing here.

  • No Chance of a 'V' Recovery  [View article]
Excellent article. I'm a big fan of realism and unfortunately it's often missing when analysts wheel out their predictions. I'll keep my pot of cash for now but will invest on significant weakness on companies I'm following.

My understanding is that Warren Buffets main reason for selling was for tax purposes. Granted he could have chosen a multitude of investments to sell and he chose COP, which does say something.

Certainly one of the more interesting market stories recently. I've been burnt in the past on these high-risk research shares though so I'm staying firmly out.

  • Utility Stocks Better Suited for Current Income [View article]
An interesting take on the dividend of utilities. I've got a couple in my portfolio and despite the potential for dividend cuts I view them as the rockbed. They are companies that will still be around in 20 years time and are lilely to be producing roughly consistent results. With the rockbed in place, the rest of my portfolio veers towards more risk. Call it a diversification of sorts!
