  • Apple Is Ill-Equipped In The Tablet Space  [View article]
Must it always be one winner and one loser? Totally different products because of OS. Surface taps pc developers Apple there app world. I get the biggest laugh from evil empire and Windows 10 is dos comments. You are so out of date you don't have a prayer as investors, where being up to date and informed is key. Ballmer and Jobs....they are history. Tune in, its 2015 not 2000. For you it may not seek long for others they get the difference. Stay smug, you lose. The name does of the iPad PRO will tell you Apple are worried. 2 years ago they would not even discuss Microsoft as a rival. Stay smug or stay current - take your pick!

  • Apple Will Soar After Solving This One Problem  [View article]
Some people like to live with the reality that all progressive work stopped at Microsoft and other Apple competitors - just because they live in a bubble. It's not 2005 anyone.

Productivity users will stick with PCs, police, doctors, pilots - smartphones are big enough for their need. iPad is in a pincher hold and with current OS can't compete for productivity users.

There is a viable upgrade path - buy a Surface and run a fully featured operating system. Unfortunately so long as Apple has a fragmented approach to operating systems, iPad will fall further behind full function tablets.

You don't believe in royalties? We'd have no R&D without royalties.

Man but Seeking Alpha allows some amateur input these days. This is like a school kid fourth grade essay. Microsoft dominates enterprise Apple dominated style but of late is falling behind even in areas it dominated....tablets. Windows 10 is a commodity platform for Microsoft, just a base for part of its huge base of consumer and enterprise products. Apple has a closed wall app store and some good hardware period.

  • Is Apple's iPad Doomed Without Intel Processing?  [View article]
Afraid the tide has turned. Apple will have some more good years, but the tide has turned. Do you really believe the world will flock to a walled garden? Not going to happen. All eggs in one basket? Not a chance.

  • Spanish open source group Hispalinux files a protest with the European Commission against Microsoft (MSFT) in which it alleges the company makes it difficult for customers to switch to Linux. The EC levied a heavy fine against Microsoft earlier this month for failing to offer users different web browser options.  [View news story]
This boat has sailed. With most people on mobile devices, this group is fighting yesterday's battle.

  • Google Narrows Offerings, And Narrows Market In Turn  [View article]
This decision is one of the reasons it is challenging to bet your business on Google. You may decide to utilize one of their technologies as strategic to your business, but if Google don't see it as strategic to them, they kill it. Sometimes it's better to pay for something and know it will be there rather than hope that it will. Not saying RSS is leading technology but for some people it is important.

  • Avoid Microsoft For The Long Haul  [View article]
Longer term looks like Samsung has designs beyond all the current software partners with the arrival of Tizen on the scene. It was only a matter of time before another hardware manufacturer though "hmmm, the software guys always keep their price constant, while our hardware gets better and cheaper, we want a piece of this". What they have that Google, Apple and Microsoft do not is also a strong eco-system by way of TVs in living rooms. The software players do have add on hardware, but Samsung are kings on the TV, so my bet is they want to pack more into that connected TV.
