I am a 29 year old father of three, active duty US Marine. I began investing with my retirement in mind and mostly focus on reliable dividend paying companies. I enjoy writing for Seeking Alpha to share my ideas and create discussions with fellow investors. I firmly believe that investing should be made more approachable to the masses and strive to keep my articles simple yet informative. Being on a "fixed" but stable income and lone "breadwinner" in the house creates interesting dynamics and greatly impacts my investing approach. I currently hold in no particular order:
PFE, CMI, AAPL, RTN, BAESY, NKE, UA, DIS, CSX, EMR, F, O, MO, UL, SBUX, EML, CGNX, HRC, DOW, XOM, T, VOD, CSCO, SYF, ORI, GLW, TATT, KTOS, JOUT, GLBL.
I like writing about all sorts of companies in all sorts of sectors. Recently I've been focusing my writing and even investing dollars on micro/small cap defense facing companies. I will always try to keep it simple and understandable, please hit "Follow" if you would like to read my articles in the future.

I'm a tech columnist for TheStreet. I was previously responsible for Seeking Alpha's tech news coverage, as well as its Eye on Tech newsletter. Prior to that, I wrote for other financial sites and published independent investment research, primarily on tech companies.
I have a B.A. in Economics from Columbia University. I'm based out of San Diego, but grew up in Southern New Jersey. I play basketball and tennis in my spare time, am a long-time (and long-suffering) fan of Philadelphia's sports teams, and alternate daily between using an iPad Air, a Galaxy Note 3, and one or two Windows PCs.
I currently work in the Deal Advisory practice at KPMG. I provide due dilligence for clients pursuing major acquisitions. I have a passionate interest in trading and investing.
I am the Director of Operations for a manufacturing company. I am a self educated investor that spent 10 years traveling the globe analyzing suppliers for my primary operations career related to manufacturing, quality, and sourcing. During my time on planes and in hotels, I read more than 200 books on investing and developed my own investment strategy. I have out-performed the market 5 out of the past 6 years, and returned 19.5 percent on average over the past three years. My two best years include a 52 percent increase in 2009 and a 43 percent increase in 2013. I believe in a patient process of buying under-valued stocks that are likely to out-perform the market over the long term.

I manage the capital of only a handful of families and I see it as my number one job to protect their financial security. They don’t pay me to sell them investment products, beat an index, abandon true investing for mindless diversification or follow the Wall Street lemmings down the primrose path. I manage their money exactly as I manage my own so I don’t take any risk at all unless I strongly believe it is worth taking.

I graduated top of my class with a degree in management with a concentration in finance. While I work in a finance capacity in the non-profit world, I have been following the market and trading daily since I was sixteen years old. I have always loved analyzing individual businesses and trends in their stock price, and finding trading/investing opportunities that the overall market has not yet recognized.
My fascination with the market began when I put $3,000 I had saved into my very first stock trade, selling 20 minutes later for a $200 profit. I was sixteen, and it was love at first sight. I have closely followed the markets ever since, and have traded/invested in hundreds of stocks. My professional career has also involved starting a couple of businesses, and managing a few others. While I prefer short term trades based on technical analysis, I enjoy performing fundamental analysis on business models that I can easily understand.
My goal for my Seeking Alpha articles and technical analysis blog posts is to show people some of the items I analyze when making investment and trading decisions, in a concise and easy to understand manner.
Please follow me on Seeking Alpha for updates on my latest articles!

Ever feel like trading is like rolling dice? In a way, it is, because every mathematical model of the market includes a stochastic aspect. But I believe we can load the dice in our favor through the use of statistics. Understanding both the stock market and each individual stock as a sort of random process with its own characteristics allows us to more accurately predict what it will do in the future. Coupling statistics with fundamental analysis, I have the goal of revealing to you the hidden patterns within stocks so that you may do what you wish with that information.
I am a private investor focused on finding opportunities across all types of investments, in all sectors, industries - stocks, bonds etc and in all countries and regions of the world. I have been investing for myself for more than ten years and I have so far profited from opportunities in Europe, US and Asia. However I do look at opportunities also in other parts of the world, though there is usually the problem of liquidity and/or accessibility in markets in the Middle East and Africa and some other markets in other parts of the world.

I usually write about airline, aerospace, transport and industrial stocks as I have followed these industries for many years, developed contacts and an in-depth understanding of their inner workings. I will post detailed analysis and a guide to most developments that occur at all stocks I regularly cover. Currently I cover most major U.S airlines, and aerospace firms. Over time I hope to expand my coverage of quality aerospace, airline, transport and industrial stocks.
One area I focus on is the airline industry. The airline industry is undergoing fundamental change, with only 4 major U.S airlines now, down from 12 just over 10 years ago. This consolidation has rationalized the industry and for the first time in history made it worthy of investing and making a profit in. All major U.S airlines with the exception of Southwest are still not investment grade and still have many hurdles ahead, leaving nice upside for investors willing to get into the industry at this stage.
In general, I love trading value stocks that I believe have significant upside compared to downside long term. I prefer medium cap companies with compelling value, growth, or momentum. I focus on a select list of quality stocks that I have rigorously vetted which I update weekly. I like to create high quality in depth articles on stocks that I am passionate about and hope they will be of help to other investors out there or those looking for ideas to get started.

I have a background in international trade-consulting and market research. I hold an MBA from ESADE Business School, Barcelona. I have keen interest in equity and commodity markets. Always have been staunch supporter of long-term value investing. But Before I dig deep inside stock fundamentals, I always take a good look at the macroeconomic situation. I am Howard Klein, Publisher and Publisher of THE HOUSE EDGE casino investment site on SA.
For 30 years I held senior vp and exec VP positions in major casino hotel operations among them Caesars, Ballys, Trump Taj Mahal and have done extensive consulting assignments for many others in the US, including the native American property Mohegan Sun, in Connecticut.
I have also done special projects for Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. I was the founder and publisher of Gaming Business Magazine, first ever publication covering the gaming industry and have written extensively about the industry. My two books are presently sold as
Kindle ebooks on the Amazon site:
MASTERING THE ART OF CASINO MANAGEMENT and
THE GREAT AMERICAN CASINO BAZAAR.
I have appeared on industry seminar panels and on national radio and television discussing
various aspects of industry growth.
I am a graduate of NYU's Stern School of Business and did work toward a Master's degree in economics
at the Columbia School of General Studies.
MY INVESTMENT STRATEGY:
Due to the necessities of my casino consulting business which encompasses many top gaming companies, I have placed my own gaming portfolio into a blind trust over ten years ago. At that time I instructed my money manager(who is a former industry colleague herself as well as a corporate lawyer and money manager) to follow my gaming investment strategy along these lines.
1. I am a value investor first. Knowing the industry in depth I am able to plumb opportunities and problems others cannot see. Mostly I like to identify price ranges over given periods where I believe the market is asleep and I can buy in at the lowest possible risk.
2. I am a strong believer in management quality. Knowing so many top people in the industry allows me to evaluate which ones I believe have the "right stuff" to move a stock and which are populated by corporate drones.
3. I have instructed my manager never to trade on sugar high spikes in earnings or news per se but use the "string theory" I have developed which in brief, follows a skein of news and earnings releases over set periods of time for each stock and then move in or out.
4. I have instructed her to keep the portfolio diverse with holdings in four basic areas: Casino stocks in Las Vegas, Macau and the regionals, gaming tech stocks with real moats not just cute apps.
Overall I have done immensely well and share my views with SA readers and more specifically with strong recommendations and gaming stock strategy analysis based on my network of industry contacts for subscribers to my SA Premium Site: THE HOUSE EDGE.
I have more than 7 years experience investing in commodities and hard assets such as gold and silver miners, exploration companies, oil and gas producers, MLPs, and various other sectors.
