Correction- you state LULU reports after the closing bell at the top of the piece, but before the bell at the end of the piece. I believe it is 12/6 before the bell. Otherwise a good summary of what is going on and certainly this is a cliff-hanger to call for many reasons, but the fiscal cliff is probably not a negative for the darling of the yoga queens just yet!
Imagine a US automaker that had Cat's ridiculously high Global Market Share and an equally world-leading dealer-support network. You might say, ya, but we were the global leaders in autos until the last 30 years. And that is true. But, the "Toyota's, Hionda's, etc. that took over for quality reasons mainly, simply don't exist in Cat's lair. Not that they haven't tried. Cat has at least a decade of best-in-class in the whole world before that MIGHT happen. It may never happen. And that means a decade of crumpling 75-100 year old infrastructures to reap huge profits from!
