  • Apple's Shares Are Approaching A Bottom [View article]
The only plausible excuse is that they're saving money for a massive buyout.

  • Jefferies' Peter Misek seems to be the sole sell-side analyst to downgrade Apple (AAPL -9.9%) today. "[The] slowdown in iPhone sales is real ... it appears that demand in the second half of the quarter and into CQ1 was much weaker than management or we expected," wrote Misek as he cut shares to Hold. ISI is lowering its PT to $600 from $710, but thinks a cheaper iPhone can right the ship. Topeka (previous) and Canaccord hold out hope an iPhone refresh will arrive in 1H. CRUS -8.4%. (more) (transcript) Update: Scotia Capital and Hilliard Lyons have joined Jefferies in downgrading Apple. [View news story]
This is what baffles me... Apple grew iOS devices sold by A TON. Any other company would KILL for this growth. Yet somehow they've peaked? Lol?

Did we switch to a different form of math overnight? I'm seriously at a loss.

Acounting for the extra week last year, Apple still grew earnings 13.5%... Find me a stock that grew at 13.5% with supply constraints at a 7 P/E ratio ex cash.

AAPL can still buy NFLX and barely put a dent in its cash.

Apple marketshare is increasing everywhere yet somehow it's not growing anymore? I'm really baffled here.

They sold 40% more phones and 60% more tablets last quarter. What more do people want? holy crap.

Exactly, saying AAPL is done is like saying people will forget about Mcdonalds next time they need fast food.

The Fed as in the Federal Reserve? When did they start buying stocks on the open market?

And yet GOOG garners double the P/E ratio of APPL, with WAY less cash and no div.

This is when smart money buys AAPL again, the market is way overeacting.

  • BlackBerry 10 Will Flop. Then What? [View article]
This might be the funniest comment I've read. Everybody already has an iPhone or Android device. There is no compelling reason to stop having those devices, especially when those platforms have such sticky ecosystems.

Nobody wants to beta test a BB10.

AAPL grew it's market share and sold 39% more phones than last year, and yet somehow this is the end for Apple? Hahahaa

Remember that time RIM had to basically give away its playbooks because nobody would buy them? The same thing will happen with their phone: http://cnet.co/W1OdzF

Yes, at 2x the price point of an iPad, a product that people already complain is too expensive.

Oppenheimer also said that they're always considering whether or not to accelerate buybacks and returning cash to Shareholders. If Apple stopped generating cash altogether, they'd still be left with 90+ billion in cash in 3 years after returning that amount.

    The disconnect here is tremendous.

Apple sold waaaaay more phones than last year and went down like a rock, yet Nokia selling less phones is a good thing? Rofl.

  • Apple's CEO Discusses F1Q 2013 Results - Earnings Call Transcript [View article]
I work for a company that makes Android phones, one of the big manufacturers. I'd take an iPhone any day over Android, because it's way less buggy and I know it'll do exactly what I tell it to do. I've had 3 Android phones and the software was always buggy as hell.

  • One Rotten 'Apple' Spoils The Barrel [View article]
I'd like to know the same thing... Every damn headline talks about how shitty Apple's earnings were, while they still beat analyst expectations, and still sold 8 trillion iPhones and iPads. Their P/E ratio is so low that you'd think everybody at once decided to stop buying phones since they're no longer the most useful invention in all of human history.
