Some articles are speculating that NOK already took the 3rd spot & we will find that out in Q4 report.

  • Can Nokia Pull Ahead Of Research In Motion? [View article]
RIMM just lost 1 million registered users. Evidently, those are in majority retail consumers with a few Enterprises in support of Apple. The biggest market share is on retail consumer not Enterprise but Enterprise is stable. This 1 million may escalate to double in just 6 months because Samsung & iPhone remains strong & now Nokia Lumia 920...

    How strong?

  • Can Nokia Pull Ahead Of Research In Motion? [View article]
The last thing one investor should not do is underestimate NOK & Msft who are pioneers in the OS & building phones...

And why are there too many researchers & analyst giving too much attention to NOK. Are they that worried & threatened by the Lumia 920 & W8 OS? They talked nothing but revenues of up to 3Q but recklessly ignored the Q4 & how it is doing in the market. From NSN to IP to Navteq to device & services. Are they hammering NOK while Acummulating? Just like Barcklay & Goldman Sach & a few others? Well, the fact remains, Lumia line is selling so well in all parts of the world that it had taken a good bite of the market share from Android & iOS & BES.

I now have a L920 not that it is the best smartphones but because of how I am going to use it with the W8. I still need only one more app which is from autodesk (Temporarily using Yousendit & I will need no more than what I already have. The ecosystem of W8 OS with the Wp8 is flawless.

The added innovative features for the L920 was my bonus. It beats all features I have with my iPhone 4s that is now collecting dust in my drawer. Meanwhile, I have never used BB in spite of it's awesome e-mail security because it was not really intended for person like me who performed task that differs from Politicians & Government staff & Military that security is of paramount. With my Nokia Lumia 920 & W8 OS, I guess I will never be looking at other OS. I am now entrenched for the moment.

Thinking about it, In the past year. I have rarely seen a person holding a BB anywhere I go (From B.C. Canada to California) I have seen more iPhone4s & Galaxy SIII & now I am seeing a lot of Lumia 920 after a Christmas event at my daughters school, I have yet to see anyone using HTC 8X...Oh yeah I saw 1 BB who apparently is going to upgrade to L920 this January on expiring contract after seeing my L920.

So do not underestimate the W8 & Wp8 smartphones. They are Hot...However I wish RIMM will succeed as well...Last year February Msft & NOK Together made an attempt to buyout RIMM. It may not be invigorated again due to the success of the Lumia Line not unless they are going out for the kill & Security technology.

  • The Verge joins Digitimes in reporting a Nokia (NOK) Windows RT tablet is in the works. The gadget site, which seems to have a source or two at Microsoft (MSFT), reports the tablet will have a 10.1" display (similar to Surface), mobile connectivity (AT&T will sell it), and interestingly, a battery-equipped keyboard cover that "envelops it like a book." Nokia is said to plan a small initial run, and to be thinking of making a Windows 8 Pro device later. [View news story]
NOKIA is recognized worldwide to posses the number 1 R&D team capable of delivering game changer products that they just recently proved the world. The real question really here is who will be the dominant ecosystem in the market by 2013. I will not count Msft & Nokia out on this battle. Windows have registered licensed users of over 1.3 billion worldwide with huge numbers already upgrading to W8...And while the numbers of developers apps have greatly improved in the past 2 months for W8 & Wp8 in significant numbers, it is likely highly that Nokia will come close to this highly competitive market by 2013.

What's also best about all of the tablet issue was the fact that NOKIA already knows what is needed to compete. Keeping in mind that Elop mentioned a couple of times on his interviews that they have a lot of gems to spin out to enhance & produce great products...Going into the tablet by February can only translate they are ready. I can only speculate that this brilliant brains working in Nokia will produce nothing but the best...

I can also only but see that a true game changer product features is a must not an option to enter in this Arena of tablets.

  • Nokia's Revival: The Ship Has Sailed [View article]
Makes me wonder? How bad do you think will be the number of sales for Apple on the iPhones for this quarter & the assumption of thinner profit margin numbers. Will this cause Apple to drop below $500.00? I was at Rogers wireless, iPhone 4s is selling better than iPhone 5, but overall sales are slow compared to last quarter. iPhones at Telus is also slow.

Unfortunately for you, that news is now supported by another reliable source....the good part about it is that the 2.5 million was based on US sales alone, not including Europe, Asia, Australia & Middle east, which reminds me China will add a tad more on that figure too.

Wow...Then why is it that RIMM was not the supreme choice for me...I don't think BB will help me at all with the way I do my work...BB is known for just it's security & email, the reason most politicians use the device worldwide...Pres. Obama was courted by Steve Jobs to use iPhone instead. NSA never approved that, all for the reason of security issues. So without this technology BB would have already reached the same fate as Palm....BB is not as attractive as you taught for many retail consumer except for those who wants themselves to look very important...Revenues of Samsung & iPhone will prove that...I am Canadian & will support RIMM when I can but as an ordinary citizen I will spend my money wisely or smartly. We taxed heavily up here.

The app store is another wonderful concept developed by Nokia announced 2007 & released 2008 it's called Ovi.

APPL copied their touchscreen & developed their own app store. It was a brilliant move by Steve Jobs. His visions on the touchscreen potential was enormous. Nokia was beaten on this technology inspite of being first by taking to much holidays & fishing trips...LOL...

Attaining the position of being the leader & King is not as easy as everyone think. This is where most failed because of neglect and over confidence...not realizing that this position is when a company faces more challenge from the competition. & to beat the king you have to produce the best.... so AAPL did....so Samsung did....so NOK did.

Interestingly enough I haven't met a single person yet upgrading to W8, I can but guess that a good percentage of the 40+ million registered licensed W8 users are from small businesses & some corporates & also from those who are buying laptops or PC's with W8 OS installed of late.

There are investors in this playing field who love investing/betting on the future & I am one of those. This is similar, but contrary to those who bet NOK will go bankrupt & shorted NOK in the millions at the level of $2.60 to $2.90 range just last October.

With the aid of a proper DD, I invest at the lowest entry point before projected revenues are factored in. Therefore, I am sure you will agree with me that when you get that sustainable numbers to justify a position with NOK your entry will be much higher from the current price. However, I am also sure that your investing method, if this is the case pretty much provide you a more comfortable feel on your investment, I'll say "sure ball" & "safer".

You're the only poster who mentioned W8 while others are too focused on Lumia 920 not realizing that the true concept of W8 OS was concentrated with Enterprises, & Wp8 meanwhile was the supporting device for a true experience of the ecosystem it provides. I am now experiencing the phenomenal advantage & benefits of these technologies through our office & business. "yousendit app & pdf app" transformed our ways of doing things around with our W8 OS & Wp8 Lumia 920 not to mention the Msft Office benefits. In time W8 will be the dominant ecosystem, afterall windows OS is entrenched worldwide with over a billion registered user.

Never heard yet of anyone complaining of the W8 OS including the Lumia 920 but from critics on the web who are probably AAPL fans or Android fans. But I know plenty of W8 early adapters who are mostly highly intellectual organizations, & here's the best part, they are actually promoting how good it is. Most of the time it is the first topic of the meeting & sometimes in the end before we part.

For Nokia, being as innovative as it is & with their R&D team recognized all over the word as among the best & producing high quality & durable products + NSN +Navteq+IP...only a fool will not take a position on this equity...

Bankruptcy? Their numbers dictates that but I never saw bankruptcy, the big chunk of losses directed me to restructuring charges. I saw a transformation, a change of business model that 6 months ago is a model that is risky & highly speculative. The downside of PPS was the pure result of this transformation.

  • Pac Crest has joined Deutsche and Raymond James in questioning the strength of demand for Nokia's (NOK) Windows Phone 8 hardware. Like others, it thinks initial sellouts were due to limited supplies, and believes AT&T is selling only 10K-15K Lumia 920 units/week. Altogether, it forecasts 1M WP8 shipments for Q4, with sell-through of roughly half that total. Meanwhile, Swedish carrier Tele2 says it has sold out its Lumia stock, but it received an initial shipment of just 2K-3K units. (Oppenheimer[View news story]
Pac Crest...I will treat you & your wife for dinner & I will show you how awesome the Lumia 920 is...it is better than the L800 & L800 & they sold 2.9 Million units 3Q on limited market...now they are selling the L920 worldwide. Not only that even the L800 & L900 are selling even better than 3Q....are you talking about the market in North America only......Sale here is a far cry on how it is selling in Europe.....LOL

  • Why Analysts Missed The Apple Correction [View article]
@ surfnturk....It is always better without, makes one comfortable with their investment.

Afterall, Lawyers are expensive & will only eat away profit, do you agree?...Furthermore, what is it really with these big corporations using patented technologies & avoiding licensing...They always taught that they can get away scotfree with those licensing fees from smaller outfit on grounds that they will go broke suing a mammoth. Good thing Judicial process changed that thought not to hinder all those great minds from inventing because those abuse if it will continue ""Will Stop Innovation.""

Here's some forthcoming litigation that can become a class action lawsuits that can come from honest people & opportunists.

For those still using Yelp mapping, perhaps acquiring google map or navteq should be considered.

By the way I am no genius, but I will exercise my freedom of speech just like you did.
