  • Insiders Are Buying BioTime: Should You? [View article]
I agree with Brian. This looks more like an excuse to publish an article than substantial or useful information.

  • Time To Buy Cypress Semiconductor [View article]
Ashraf was saying the same thing last fall encouraging people to buy AAPL before it had bottomed out around $400. I am highly skeptical of this sort of SA pump piece.

  • Is Herbalife A Fraud? That Is The Question [View article]
The author of this article is out for a buck. If this was a well-reasoned position he would be refuting the critics soundly...greed is the primary motivation for HLF critics even more than for HLF bulls.

  • Insiders Are Buying BioTime: Should You? [View article]
This insider buying mentioned here is miniscule compared to any bullish example I have read of. A good textbook example of insider buying is Opko Health Inc (OPK) As of last March CEO Phillip Frost owned 121 million shares. There are only 336 million shares outstanding..that's nearly 33% of all shares..an extreme example but still the level of insider buying mentioned in this article is miniscule and the author's purpose and the premises of the article deserve criticism.

  • BlackBerry: Ignore The Noise And Take Advantage Of The Volatility [View article]
This is a very high-risk trade, BBRY could very well retreat to the 200 day MA around 11 after earnings and/or a market dip.

  • Arena Short Interest As Launch Of Belviq Approaches [View article]
You just made a good point, Healthythoughts, perhaps Belviq will be used off-label as a mild depression treatment while being prescribed for obesity. There's a big market for depressed overeaters.

  • Time To Buy Cypress Semiconductor [View article]
Ashraf, I read SA to day trade the ostensibly value-based articles, like this one. It will probably go up Monday and then sell off deeper afterwards.

  • It's Now Time For Vivus Investors To Watch Arena Numbers [View article]
Why shouldn't someone fifty pounds overweight be advised to use Belviq to help lose weight? Most obesity is also caused by lifestyle, so those obese people who will be prescribed Belviq are also using this as an edge, whereas they could just consume 1500 calories a day and exercise and all of them would lose weight. Science is showing being overweight, not just obese, leads to many serious health conditions.

  • "Apple's (AAPL) glory days are now behind it," said FBN's Shebly Seyrafi on Thursday morning with the stock at $450. On Sept. 13 - the day after the iPhone 5 launch and the shares at $680 - Seyrafi reiterated a Buy rating and boosted his price target to $1,000. (FBN now maintains an Outperform on Apple with a lowered target of $650.) [View news story]
I'd like to see some accountability from some of the investment firms against their analysts who deceived the public with their projections. Peter Misek of Jefferies and Sheyrafi should be unemployed now. I suspect they're collecting bonuses rather than pink slips though.

  • Is Herbalife A Fraud? That Is The Question [View article]
The question the author overlooked is: "If Herbalife is a fraud and pyramid scheme (as the USA defines it), how many other companies are also frauds and pyramid schemes worthy of having the SEC shut them down?" Why just single out Herbalife? Greed on both sides here..

  • Watch Out AT&T: Facebook Could Take Over The Smartphone [View article]
"Insiders certainly seem to be on board."

Check out the insider transactions for Facebook. I've never seen a stock with so many large insider sales starting at the inflated IPO price of $38.

"Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours."

No downside to FB stock mentioned in this article, it's odd you aren't a stockholder in FB.

Deceptively worded. FB stock has been falling since January.
