Private Investor with 10 years of biotech trading experience.
I use basic disciplined research approach to discover new investment ideas. Biotech sector is full of violent stock moves and trial failures. On one hand it requires traders to be quick on their feet and on the other hand it forces investors to have a great deal of patience.
I enjoy the challenge of mining for hidden gems, because its 10 times as hard to do that than predicting failures. Failure is the norm in biotech, I look for exception to the norm!

Hi, I am Ong Kang Wei, a Singaporean investor intrigued by the stock market and anything related to business, finance and economics. I love observing the stock market in my free time, and I especially favor dividend-paying aristocrats offering products/services people need such as P&G, Kinder Morgan, Wal-Mart, among many others. I also love high quality stocks or mispriced stock opportunities that will be able to reward shareholders. Of course, I can only come to such a conclusion through extensive fundamental research and analysis. I am still in the process of learning how to analyse stocks more perfectly, and I must say that I have learnt a lot so far on Seeking Alpha. People whom I admire include Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch, Charlie Munger, Philip Fisher and Benjamin Graham. I try to learn about these famous people and find out what made them successful. I also regard established people in the financial industry very highly, and always try to learn from them through their writing. This group of people would include Professor Aswath Damodaran, many of the other knowledgeable CFAs and also Seeking Alpha writers. Though I try my best to keep writing on Seeking Alpha, I may stop writing at times due to study obligations.

Mark Krieger is an avid stock market trader dedicated to the following ideals: (1) Focus on high relative strength, (2) Buy low, sell high (3) Short high, cover low, (4) Go against the crowd, (5) It's all about the rules and discipline- hold them dear (6) Analyze the balance sheet-seek low debt, high cash and hidden value scenarios (7) Cut your losses short, let your gains run, (7) Don’t get emotional, (8) Follow the insiders- buy if they are buying, sell if they are selling (9) Be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy.(10) Don't argue with the market unless you detect an inefficiency present-it is smarter than you are. In summary, some of these ideas might be construed as rather trite and overused, but consistent use of them pays off in the long run.
Mr. Krieger specializes in the food sector and is the originator of the "Basic Food Fund" index and the "Dirt Cheap Value Portfolio".Why the food sector? "everybody has to eat'!

I run the long-term dividend investing website: www.theconservativeincomeinvestor.com
I spend most of my time reading through annual reports looking for a small-cap stock to feature in my monthly edition of "The Conservative Investor Digest." That is where you can find my best work, and that is where I focus my research.
