LET'S CARRY THIS OVER FROM LAST CHAPTER !!

Author’s reply » Japan's economy contracted sharply in the second quarter after a national sales tax in April rose 3% and triggered a sharp decline in consumer spending. Real GDP shrank 6.8% in the three months through June on an annualized basis from the prior quarter. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will have to address the tax issue again soon. A sales tax increase (which will raise the rate to 10%) has been approved by the Japanese government and will take effect in October 2015.

So I guess raising taxes isn't a good idea either ??? What will they try next >>>>

"Wow, IT you worry about all kinds of stuff that never happens"

NEVER say that to a person who lost loved ones in 9/11.. Or as I watch some friends who were first responders getting ill right before my eyes and the govt is doing nothing about it.

Did you ever think those two buildings would collapse like they did. Or how about World Trade 7 collapsing for no apparent reason?

Just being realistic . Ever think about that Malaysia jet anymore, or the BP spill, or ...never mind !!

Japan looks like they are in good shape huh ? Seems no monetary policy can help them out.

Do we have that fate to look forward to ? That tax idea surely backfired.

Bingo, some just don't get it !!

In fact after my 9 hour surgery my Doctor told me he wanted to send me home a day earlier then expected. When I asked why he said I can pick up too many infections staying there .

I was in no shape to go home early but I did !!

    TULIP

Go look at their history of paying dividends and stop by my blog and drop a question. I am sure many will help explain it to you.

I don't want to take the authors space here , and I do appreciate the info given here as well. I recently learned about the BDC'S and I thought it was a good time to own a few.

I might add we discuss many options and DGI is one of them on my blog. I would welcome new ideas and we even have a mock portfolio challenge that just started.

Put some of what we learn here to use !

Maybe I will see some new posters. The Author is welcomed as well and I would include your link in my description if you decide to drop in for a comment or two.

    Good luck investing!

If one is looking for yield then why not a BDC ? (NASDAQ:PSEC) spins off close to 12% and pays monthly as well as (NASDAQ:FSC) at around 10%. As stated with low interest rates maybe you folks should take a look at these two.

My blog covers these and we discuss everything daily. All are welcomed..

Any reason that I rarely see a BDC listed as a good buy ? I fully understand that they don't have a long history of dividend increases. But in todays investing world with low interest rates shouldn't one consider them?

Like (NASDAQ:PSEC) and (NASDAQ:FSC) .. One spins off close to 12% while the other around 10%.

What is the negative if one is seeking a dividend stream ?

Thanks and open to all !!

So you are telling me that if that helicopter crashed in the middle of Manhattan were all safe ? That if the body parts were all over the streets it's not an issue ?

Sorry, I am not buying that !

"But getting a helicopter shot down isn't likely to cause an outbreak either."

Ok, I will bite, then why was anyone remotely near those two wearing so much gear to cover them up ? I was thinking to avoid catching it ?

So if you shoot down a helicopter and the patients carefully packaged stretcher breaks apart were all safe ?? Really ?? Then why were they wearing it in the first place?

    You playing with me :)
