  • The Truth About Robin Raina's Ebix: Part I  [View article]
It's so interesting that Ebix employees (trolls) come on this site to comment and attempt to destroy the author's credibility without a clear rebuttal of the facts presented.

Furthermore, suspicion continues to hover over Mr. Raina for the simple fact that he lied (and continues to lie) about the revenues generated by his charity entity; further demonstrating a lack of human integrity.

As you can see, Mr. Raina's own presentation, labels Ebix as "My Company" when it actually belongs to the collective shareholders, and not Mr. Raina alone. However, he runs the place (along with his brother Rahul Raina) like it's his own fat-cat private company, just look at the stock giveaways/bonuses they grant themselves. Oh wait, the filings are questionable so we (investors) may not know how much they are actually taking from the company. What's laughable is that Rahul Raina is an executive of the company, and has no prior work experience relevant to the Ebix BPO divisions he oversees. Also, I’d be interested to know how many company (Ebix) credit cards these individuals use to pay their personal expenditures with, as they both have a profound taste for the lavish lifestyle they live. I can't wait to see this all unfold on an upcoming episode of American Greed on CNBC. The story line here is a perfect fit for the show.

  • Facebook Search Engine: The Death Of Google?  [View article]
I'm so over FB, as if their business model is even unique. It's been done so many times over can't wait for them to be R.I.P. like MySpace. Get a clue people, FB is on life support and why would anyone invest in Mark Z's majority owned company? He lacks integrity and makes foolish moves like buying Instagram for $1,000,000,000. Really? All of their investors deserve to loose all of their money for being so ignorant; throwing money at a losing business model. People, you are better off investing in Greece bonds.

Interesting, no updates/real questions regarding the acquisition of Autonomy; the $11 billion deal with a $5 billion write down.

    Analysts', are we falling asleep?

From an insider, this company is poorly managed and lacks internals controls. Any takeover should include a plan to fire everyone working at their Houston office.

From: Ebix Q3 2012 Earnings Call Transcript

"[Operator Instructions] Okay, and we'll take our next question from Josh Smith [ph] from Epcot.[ph]"

    Unknown Analyst

"I was wondering, how much of your revenue growth for the last 3 months and 9 months were due to organic growth and how much was due to acquisitions?"

Robin Raina - Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President

"Well, I think we've answered that in the past that the way we run our business, and it's very different -- difficult for us to differentiate between what we get out of acquisition and what we get out internally. Part of it, we integrate these products very tightly, there is no -- Ebix, as I was just talking through the STP region, I actually talked about one product. What is going to happen if Ebix will become one product company. So every day, that's what we are doing. So we don't really -- everything that's so entangled in each other, that's so difficult for us to read. Our operations are integrated and that's -- our selling process is integrated, our products are integrated. It's very difficult for us to disintegrate and start breaking up that kind of revenue in that sum. So it's almost impractical for us to do it. And one of the reasons for Ebix's success is precisely this. This is one of the reasons why we produce better efficiency and better margins than anybody else because we integrate extremely tightly, we sell in a very tight manner and so on."

As in the recent Autonomy/HP scandal, companies who cannot differentiate organic growth vs. how much was due to acquisitions is one of the biggest signs of accounting fraud.
