I don't know where the truth lies, but Bill Gross was on television this morning and flatly stated that he is NOT SHORT us treasuries,nor has he ever been short them. He is under-weighted treasuries, which is, as they say, a horse of a different color. He said a blogger started this rumor and it continues here. What about actual fact-checking before stated so unequivocally such an important position.

Lay and the boys were dumping stock as fast as they could, but needed buyers.Was it fortuitous that Florida pension fund stepped in very timely,or corruption. Similar event occurred with the calpers hugh loss in the Peter Cooper Village fiasco when its partner Barclays bank withdrew at the last minute because of concerns uncovered in its due diligence.That same info was given to calpers but they steamed ahead anyway and blew a gapping hole in the entire calpers portfolio.Hugh commissions and bonuses seemed to be the fault there.

good point. I would add 30 billion a week frittered away on the failed(?) efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan is not normal or healthy when we are not taxed to pay for it....or will issuance of ever more bonds(borrowing) do the trick? And reliance on paid mercenaries to do what a country's citizenry ought to do out of patriotism,has historically ended in disaster,just where we in America are headed.
