I started investing right after high school. After a few working experiences at several companies, including some multi-billion dollars multinationals, and some life-changing events, I felt my career needed a change too. I decided to switch to the investing industry, so that I could do what I really love.
I am constantly looking for opportunities with asymmetric risk/reward in the stock space, including GARP plays, Global Macro and Short Selling. I am usually interested in stocks with a good market cap, trading in the US, Italy, UK and a few other European markets.

Note: Due to the sheer number of requests for bespoke quant strategies, research projects, and quant consulting services, we have instituted the following pricing for the non-exclusive licensing of our algorithms to institutions:
I. Exclusive commercial licenses for unique bespoke algorithms run six figures and up.
II. Non-exclusive AUM licensing fees for our strategy indices run 10 basis points and up for commercial licenses.
Please realize that we often get more than 3,000 e-mails per week. This means that we read everything that comes in, but we cannot respond to any email or message that does not include the sender's full name, phone number, request, and budget. Thank you for your understanding.
This Dubai-like pricing is necessary, because we can't freely give answers to tough problems which we have dedicated massive R&D capital to solving. World-class statistical talent is hugely expensive, valuable, and rare. Our clients recognize that outsourcing quant work to our firm and paying our fees represent a huge cost savings over hiring full time employees, and usually results in a far more profitable, turn-key solution.

I am a former hedge fund portfolio manager that trades for my own personal account. I espouse Graham and Dodd/Buffett style investing, always on the lookout for value equities or bonds. A graduate of Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management, I lived in NYC for a decade before relocating with my family to the Charlotte, NC area in 2007.
I have been seriously into stocks since the early 1990's and into options for the past several years. Since early 2010 I've become particularly interested in dividend growth stocks to hold for the long term. In conjunction with that I occasionally use options to boost performance. Prior to that, made and lost a lot of money in the market with each boom and bust.
Since late 2010 I have been working on a system for picking dividend growth stocks with the best potential for sustainable growth. The system ranks the stocks based on their Potency Score, a metric I have devised that uses a multitude of fundamental, valuation, performance, and other data and their inter-relations to forecast a stock's ability for sustainable dividend growth. A stock with such ability is bound to also produce respectable capital gains. My math background has come handy in the process.
I have also created a 12-ETF portfolio strategy named The Immortal Portfolio, which is intended to beat the market in the long run. I have described both of these systems in my SA articles.
Currently working a full time job (non-financial business) and managing my own personal investment accounts.

After graduating from The Wharton School of Business in 1982, Ed started his career in Corporate Banking at Bank of America, where, for four years, he was an associate in the Fortune 500 group advising international companies such as Macy's, American Brands, RJReynolds, Zayre Stores and JC Penney.
In 1986, in addition to completing his MBA at New York University, Ed moved to Salomon Brothers, where he worked for the next 23 years, through its mergers with Travelers and then Citigroup. During that time, he was in institutional sales and trading advising many of the largest hedge funds, banks, mutual funds, central banks and other government institutions on investment opportunities in various asset classes all over the world. His career advanced from US Treasury sales with specialization in derivatives, to heading the Global Government Bond team in the US, followed by managing Salomon's West Coast Fixed Income business (based in San Francisco), after which he returned to NY to become Global Product Manager of Emerging Markets, and finally, leading Global Relationship Management for Citigroup's premier institutional clients across Equities and Fixed Income around the globe.

We offer a choice of actively managed strategies, differing by levels of risk, all based on global-macro, thematic opportunities, driven by thorough geopolitical risk assessments, fundamental research, and complemented by technical analysis. Soos Global has chosen Fidelity Investments as our preferred and recommended custodian for client funds and securities, and as our primary trading desk through which we access a complete menu of financial products.
I am an individual investor that eagerly digs into a company's financial data to see what I can learn about it. Deciphering the mysteries of financial reports has been a long-term quest that began when a pre-Internet mailman unexpectedly left some company's formal report at my door. Over time, I synthesized various approaches for fundamental analysis into one ever-evolving methodology to assess performance and value.
The Gauging Corporate Financial Results blog describes the analyses I perform and the methodology itself. Writing about these efforts helps focus my thoughts. I share them with the hope I might be helping other investors. I know I benefit from reader feedback.

Mark's mutual fund is launching December 15, 2011.
He is a self taught private investor who operates the website Fund My Mutual Fund (http://fundmymutualfund.com); a daily mix of market, economic, and stock specific commentary. Fascinated by the market since an early age, he discovered mutual funds as a teenager in the 80s and moved to equities by the mid 90s. The origin of the website is/was to leverage the power of the internet in developing a transparent track record to attract investors for his potential "long/short" mutual fund.
His equity focus is identifying secular growth trends and the companies most likely to benefit from these macro trends. Stocks are identified through fundamental analysis, although basic technical analysis is used in determining entry and exit points.
