Richard Edison was the President & CEO of Spectrum Capital, by far one of the most successful trading firms in Wall Street history, posting over 180% annualized returns on average for 7 years. He sold his firm to a larger company on 12/31/06, forseeing the oncoming crash. At it's peak Spectrum managed over 120 traders. Trading his own account starting in 2008, Mr. Edison returned over 800% annualized for the year, correctly timing the market fall. Prior to starting Spectrum, Mr. Edison was a Managing Director at Bear Stearns an Gruntal & Co. He also held roles at what is now Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. He was appointed Managing Director at 27, the youngest in the history of a 140 year old firm. Mr. Edison is now in the oil & gas business and trades his own account only for enjoyment. He resides in Austin, TX where he manages his oilfield investments.
