I think most shoppers will not only not care about Sears hours of operations...most won't even know they are still in business.

Why even talk about the word "bankruptcy" year after year when, obviously, it isn't happening?

What good is that for me as an investor?

Saying, "I would have been right if it weren't for these unforeseen things happening" isn't good enough.

If you can't place a date on the upcoming bankruptcy then stop calling for it.

    It is getting silly.

They can print as much yen as they need to buy ALL of the JGBs.

No problem since inflation is completely absent.

So in one breath you preach "bankruptcy" and in the next breath you warn that the company has many "levers" to pull to avoid bankruptcy.

I have no idea what to do with that information as an investor.

It is like saying that it will rain sometime this year so carry your umbrella.

It would be different if you simply said, "SHLD is a bad business and I don't recommend investing in it" but you keep writing "bankruptcy" year after year and it hasn't happened and won't happen anytime soon.

Like I wrote in 2012...Betting against Lampert the retailer is easy but betting against Lampert the financial wizard is foolish.

You have been wrong for many years about a SHLD bankruptcy. "Eventually" is not actionable advice.

You'd have more credibility as an author here on SA if you would just admit you may have been wrong even once in your career (and not just about Sears).

So the only option, according to you, is that Berkowitz is adding because he is suddenly an idiot?

Can you point to another instance in his 30 year career where he made a similar mistake?

The gold bear market is only going to get stronger. There will be ample opportunity to buy more gold under $1,100 for the next few years.

  • Time yet to buy commodities? [View news story]
Deflation and commodity investing go together like peanuts and chewing gum.

Watch for oil to skirt $69 and gold to collapse down to $1,050 by the end of next year.
